What To Expect

Meet your guide in central Lisbon and begin your small-group gourmet food and wine tour. Throughout the tour, meet locals and learn about traditional Portuguese dishes and culinary culture. Warm up your taste buds during a visit to a local restaurant, with petiscos—Portugal’s version of tapas.

Start at Rossio Square, the city's bustling nerve center, where you'll savor the iconic Portuguese codfish cake paired with green wine. Move on to Largo de Sao Domingos to discover the history of ginjinha, a sour cherry liqueur, and sample it at the original spot dating back to 1840.

Next, stroll along Rua da Madalena to indulge in a typical bifana, a pork sandwich, at a renowned tasca, accompanied by a cold draft beer. Ascend Miradouro Chao do Loureiro for panoramic city views and insider tips on Lisbon's culinary delights. Conclude at Rua da Conceição, savoring chouriço, Portuguese bread, and local delicacies with a glass of red wine.

Lastly, explore Praca Da Figueira, discovering gourmet delights like dried Bacalhau and traditional Portuguese sausages while learning the secrets of Port wine, paired with São Jorge Cheese.

Visit traditional venues where dietary restrictions might be very difficult to accommodate. If you have dietary requirements or food allergy, please be aware that we might not be able to find alternatives, including for gluten free; pregnant women; and vegetarians. Not suitable at all for celiacs, vegans, Kosher and Halal.

Great food & wine and an easy walking tour
Lillian_N, Apr 2024
We actually took the Tour on Saturday and our tour guide was great but I thank Viator for accommodating us as we missed our original tour on Thursday. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Pickup details were easy to follow and the location was great! A great place to take pictures. Waiting time was no problem at all! Value for money -surprisingly more food and wine then expected, I loved the variety of people on the tour and the easy walk. Couples & non couples!
You will have fun!
