Easy and Fun Way to Get from Lisbon to Porto

Jose, our driver/tour guide between Lisbon and Porto, was really helpful and talked just enough but not too much! This excursion made traveling between the two cities not only easy but memorable in and of itself (there were 6 of us and a lot of luggage). Nazare in particular is well worth a visit, and the little lighthouse/museum was super interesting. In addition, Jose recommended a restaurant in Nazare over looking the beach that served one of the best meals we had during our entire visit to Portugal.

A memorable day

We loved this trip!! Jose was the perfect guide; personable, professional, knowledgeable and fun. The new Mercedes van was spiffy and clean. We visited Obidos, Navare and Aveiro and each location had a distinct character and vibe. Jose gave us plenty of time to explore each place (walking the ramparts in Obidos, exploring the windswept Sitio above Nazare, and wandering the streets of Aveiro) and was always ready to pick us up as soon as we were ready. He suggested local sweets to try, provided insights about the local economy, and added in a drive through pretty Costa Nova). When we arrived in Porto, he brought us up to the lookout on Gaia at the Dom Luis Bridge so we could see the beautiful city. And even after he dropped us off at our airbnb, he messaged with some dining recommendations. Truly a wonderful host and guide. Obrigada Jose! I hope we meet again sometime! Trish

Wonderful adventure

Four of us spent a wonderful day traveling with our guide, João Jesus. He walked with us through Obidos and Aveiro providing us detailed background on what we were seeing as well as how it tied to the Overall history of Portugal. He recommended a wonderful local restaurant in Aveiro and we topped off our trip with a breathtaking view of Porto. João seemed to go the extra mile to ensure we had a memorable day. Our van was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room for 4 adults and our luggage. Highly recommend.

Excellent way to travel from Lisboa to Porto & see 3 interesting Cities.

Our driver Rui, picked the four of us up at hotel in dntn Lisboa & drove to Obidos, told us what to see & gave us about 2 hours to tour on foot, then we drove to Fatima & again he shared his knowledge & where to walk, for about an hour, to see the religious places, & then we had lunch along the way to Aveiro, where we found that the City is known as the Venice of Portugal, so we took a 45 min boat ride as driver waited. we also walked around the very nice downtown area. then finished drive to our hotel in Porto. great day & drive was great as well.

Once in a lifetime, romantic adventure tour of Portugal

Victor was so wonderfully knowledgable and accommodating. He went above and beyond to help us have a wonderful day. In Obidos we visited a small shop and then toured the Castle of Obidos. From Obidos we went to Nazare and enjoyed the most romantic meal. Victor had prearranged reservations with a wonderful table view for lunch. After lunch we toured the fort at Nazare. Finally, we visited Aviero. We placed a ribbon on the bridge and rode a boat along the canal. The service was wonderful and we had a day we'll cherish forever.

Pleasant Day Trip from Lisboa to Porto

Alex was very courteous and attentive to our needs. As we wanted to see more of the countryside than traveling by train, we opted for a drive from Lisboa to Porto w three stops in Óbidos, Nazaré, and Aveiro. We saw lots of points of interest from a medieval town encircled by walls, to an historical fishing village/surfer paradise, to a quant coastal town where we took an historical boat ride through part of the city. While Alex was attentive to our needs, including making reservations at a perfect little seafood restaurant, we all hoped he could have been a little more informative. We were not sure we were given the right expectations when we reserved our booking as we thought we had an informative tour guide as opposed to a very capable and pleasant driver. Again, we would have appreciated being more informed about the areas we were visiting which would have made this tour a 5 star outing instead of just a very good 4 star trip.

Best Way to get from Lisbon to Porto!!

My husband and I booked this private car to take us from Lisbon to Porto. We made 3 stops: Obidos, Nazare and Aveiro. We loved every minute of our day! We think what made it the best was our driver/guide Wilson. He was super knowledgeable about every town and made the day interesting and fun! It was my husband’s 60th birthday, and this was the perfect way to spend it! It was most appreciated that Wilson called a lunch restaurant ahead of time to alert them to our arrival, and to let them know that we were celebrating a special occasion! Having a private driver and guide made this day so relaxing. We would highly recommend this trip, and Wilson! Thank you for the memories!!

I highly suggest booking this tour if you're considering traveling from Lisbon to Porto. A private driver will pick you up, and you'll have the opportunity to visit three cities along the route, spending a few hours in each before reaching Porto. Nuno, our guide, was incredibly helpful and provided us with some historical facts about the cities and plenty of valuable recommendations. Overall, I highly recommend booking this tour.
