What To Expect
Meet your guide in central Ljubljana and settle into your ride as you set out for two of Slovenia’s most enchanting wonders, Predjama Castle and the Postojna Caves. First, go with your guide to the Postojna Caves and uncovers the fascinating world of an unusual amphibian known as the blind salamanders or referred to locally as “human fish.” Explore this enthralling underground world, while your guide explains the geologic forces that created them.
Next, head to the Predjama Castle, a storybook castle wedged beneath a dramatic stone archway and against cliff. Admire the unique Renaissance architecture of the castle located in south-central Slovenia, in the historical region of Inner Carniola. From the castle, enjoy views of lush, rural Slovenia.
After that, sit back and relax on your ride back to Ljubljana.
Next, head to the Predjama Castle, a storybook castle wedged beneath a dramatic stone archway and against cliff. Admire the unique Renaissance architecture of the castle located in south-central Slovenia, in the historical region of Inner Carniola. From the castle, enjoy views of lush, rural Slovenia.

- There is a constant temperature of 10°C (50°F) in the caves, dress properly, and wear comfortable shoes (flipflops are not recommended).
- The minimum number of participants must apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative date/tour or full refund.
- In case you fail to provide us with a desired meeting point up until 24h before departure, your meeting point will be the City hotel (Dalmatinova 15, 1000 Ljubljana)
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

We went from Ljubljana to the caves and then on to the castle before returning to Ljubljana in all around 6 hours starting at 8.30. The tour delivered on everything it said it would but on top of that our guide (Barbara L) was excellent. She pointed out place of interest while we travelled and provide an entertaining insight as to the history of the country and general life there. The cave, with its train access and walking element of about a mile was a great experience. The nearby castle (15 mins by transport) was an interesting self guided audio tour that took about an hour. I would highly recommend the To Do in Slovenia tour we took with Barbara L.

Postojna is a wonderful place, but not when you visit with 100-200 other people in one group. It was a very bad experience, I could not enjoy the view. We run, uphill, nobody cared about you, I hated to be there. Skocjanske Jame is much friendly as an experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I'm truly sorry to hear that your visit to Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle was less enjoyable due to the large group size. Our tours are conducted with a maximum of 16 people, but the majority are in the 8 seater in the vans.
When visiting Postojna cave you are allocated to the preferred language group and the organization in Postojna,(due to the high frequency and being the most popular site in the country) has groups, and visiting by yourself wouldn't change this unfortunately.
Your feedback is invaluable and we want to improve the overall visitor experience. We appreciate your suggestion and are glad to hear you had a better experience at Škocjan Caves, which are UNESCO and they have limited spots there per visit.
We hope you'll consider giving us another chance to be able to give you the best experience.

Really enjoyed the caves, both the train ride and walking through. New experience for me. The castle is great to view from the outside but nothing much inside. I wouldn’t recommend paying the entrance fee.

My boyfriend and I went on this joint Castle and Cave tour. We were collected promptly from our hotel at 8:00am, excellent communication throughout. We were joint in our mini van by another couple and a family of 4. Our guide for the day, Dom, was absolutely amazing all day. So thorough, amazing facts and history given whilst driving us to our destinations. He was so organised and kept us all safe and informed. Offered us water etc throughout the day.
Dom made the experience even better, he deserves some recognition for his excellent work today as our guide.
The whole day was smooth, stress free. Very enjoyable. Would highly recommend. 5 stars.

Valdimir was a great guide! We were picked up on time in a comfortable mini van at a central location in Ljubljana. We were provided us with lots of history on Slovenia. The Postojna is something that was out of a movie! It was a very cool experience! Predjama castle was breathtaking to see it sitting on the side of a mountain. A great tour and would highly recommend. A definite highlight of our time in Slovenia.

On time pick up at an easy location. Informative and knowledgeable tour guide. I would recommend this tour to people short of time but want to cover the major sights. There was also the option to add Bled to this tour but I had already done it.
