Too much Hollywood, not enough true crime

The guide was very nice, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about Hollywood history, movie trivia and celebrities. However, the group I was with was interested in the ghost stories / hauntings / true crime / references to serial killers promised in the tour description and felt like this was unfortunately not the focus of the content presented. There were a few interesting stories shared but the majority of the info was more related to the celebrity history of where we were standing or what we were walking past with very few references to what we were actually on the tour to hear about. If you’re interested in celebrity / Hollywood trivia interspersed with the occasional ghost story this is the tour for you. If you’re looking for an in-depth insight into local true crime and creepy stories etc this is definitely not the tour you want; I wish we knew this before booking as I don’t feel like we got the experience that was advertised.

Beau was a great guide and a wealth of stories. The old Hollywood tales were fascinating and sprinkled with some creepy “facts” and true crime. Even though it was rainy and cold Beau was positive and made the tour fun. Just the right amount of walking.

I like movies but I’m certainly no expert, so this walking tour gave so much background on so many things, like actors, movies, behind the scenes, etc… lots of dirty little secrets. Great variety, and the guide is super passionate! Really do recommend!

Beau, the Tour Guide was "very nice" and "very polite". He was "very informative and knowledgeable". It is incredible to find out about the events that took place in the past in the City of Angels. Only a knowledgeable, well-trained Guide like Beau can provide such interesting facts. Beau was also amiable and had a good "sense of humour", which in turn is very important when dealing with people from many places in the U.S. as well as International visitors. This tour has a little bit of everything

What a fantastic time! I was with my adult daughter and we didn't really know what to expect. Beau was a brilliant, informative, and entertaining tour guide. There was constant Hollywood history, a little haunting, and a lot of true crime. Beau seemed to know it all! There was never a moment where he wasn't talking to us, even while walking. Two hours packed full of exciting information. The very first thing we were told before we even started was that there are NO BATHROOMS along the tour and to go before we leave. Halfway through, a mom with her teenage son said he needed a bathroom. Despite everyone else being annoyed by the mom not letting it go, and the son being extremely embarrased because of her, Beau handled it very professionally! My daughter and I both recommend this tour!

Learning new facts about LA. The tour is a great outing for friends and family. I grew up in LA and didn’t know a lot of the information that was presented by our tour guide. By the way, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and presented it well. However, there was more information regarding murders and shady happenings than haunted buildings. Also, a suggestion…don’t know if you can do it but it would be nice to go into one of the buildings.

Knickerbocker Hotel where William Frawely (Fred from I Love Lucy died) and Elvis and Marilyn Monroe had photo shoots. Loved seeing the buildings and hearing the history and stories of Hollywood. I liked ending the tour at Graumans Chinese Theater and having time to visit that landmark. Beau our guide was VERY knowledgeable

Great way to see Hollywood Blvd!

Our guide was a great story teller, he mixed in Hollywood history trivia and haunted stuff together well ! For the pictures that go with the story, the tour company should give guides an iPad so we can see pictures better. At the end of the tour our bellies were growling and our dogs were barking, be sure to have had dinner before and wear comfy shoes for walking!
