What To Expect
Your tour begins in the middle of Moab where you’ll meet your guide, and board the comfortable 4WD vehicle for the 5-mile (8-km) drive to the park. Once inside Arches National Park, your off-roading adventure begins when you leave the road by Doc Williams Point.
More than 2,000 giant sandstone arches are scattered throughout the park, which is the largest collection of naturally occurring arches found anywhere in the world. You’ll also find pinnacles, fins, and rocks along this epic landscape of rich red earth sculpted by time.
If some of this landscape looks familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen it in the movies. Popular films like Thelma and Louise were shot in portions of the park, as were scenes for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
If you choose the evening tour, there’s a chance you could see a fiery sunset illuminate the red rocks. Once the sun is below the horizon, stars sparkle in one of the darkest skies in the country.
Towards the end of the tour, you’ll leave the park via an old cowboy trail. It’s here where you’ll stop to see fossilized dinosaur tracks stamped into the earth.
Finally, after several hours of backcountry exploring in the southern Utah terrain, your tour finishes in the center of Moab from the same spot where it began.

Our tour guide was Blaine and he was awesome. His knowledge of Arches, the terrain, and the great stories about the original superintendent and all the work he did to make Arches a wonderful experience for the visitors both young and old. Blaine answered every question that was aimed at him and in a way that made the experience even more enjoyable. The scenery and the serene feeling of being in that beautiful park can't be put into words. You have to go and find out for yourself. I highly recommend this tour with Blaine.

Ben was great a lot of knowledge on the geology and plant life, ride is a bit rough but it’s off the main roads, several nice stops with short walks to get better views, would highly recommend

We had great views. Our guide Joe McCarthy was very knowledgeable about the area, geology and plants. Great to be able to see arches out in the back country like Anniversary Arch.

Joe was an amazing guide. He took us to Tower arch which was much more secluded and there was no other people there. It was amazing. The entire tour was beautiful with constant views that took your breathe away.

This tour does not include the usual highlights of the park. It focuses on more remote areas. So be sure you know what you are signing up for. Our guide, John, did a great job tailoring the time to what we all wanted to see.

Orlando was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining! We had seen most of the easily accessible arches so he focused on backcountry exclusively! It was a bumpy ride as expected, but he handled the roads well. Thankful to have been able to reach arches most visitors do not see!
