What To Expect

Meet your guide at your hotel prior to your selected morning or afternoon departure time and head to a private reserve and adventure park, located just minutes from downtown Monteverde. Your tour begins in the primary, old-growth section of the cloud forest and moves to the newer secondary forest, offering a broad perspective of life cycles in the forest.

Start your trip with a zipline tour over the canopy, providing a heart-pounding view of the cloud forest below. Then, rappel 150 feet down to the forest floor. A ladder system through the hollow core of an old tree brings you back up into the treetops, and an optional Tarzan swing free-fall experience brings you back down.

Guides accompany you through every step of the adventure to ensure your safety and entertainment, as well as to answer questions about the local ecosystem.

Get dropped off back at your hotel or other specified drop-off location in Monteverde at the end of your adventure.

Amazing experience. Our guides were very friendly and made us feel comfortable by explaining everything in detail (first time for us attempting such an activity) All three parts of the activity were perfect. The views from the zip line are breathtaking and you have a few minutes just to take a deep breath and admire the landscape. Highly recommended.

Tarzan basics through the canopy

It is the ORIGINAL for a reason! It does indeed provide you with lots of fun, a beginning-of-the-world-like experience, zip lines of different lengths and overseeing heavenly scenery, all in the company of funny, relaxed and very week prepared and safety-oriented guides. My heart goes out to everyone making this tour such a magnificent experience, and also making sure I get the best pictures along the way. It did not feel rushed, it did not feel touristy and being at 45 meters up in the canopies and seeing monkeys BELOW me for the first time made me feel awesome. Pura vida!

Brian and Sergio took great care of us, took the time to learn everyone’s name and a little about each of us in the group. Very personable. I specifically appreciated one of our guides helping my 67 year old mom with her harness while she walked back to the entrance of the park. They made the experience extra enjoyable.

We had a great time at this place. We had two young kids 7 and 9 years old and they absolutely loved the experience. Tarzan swings, zip lines and tree climbing was awesome. Our tour guide Sergio, Rudy and Graybeings made it a lot funnier for our kids. We totally recommend this place. We also got photos after the tour.

Awesome tour. So many zip lines. It also includes Tarzan which is not a Zipline. It was terrible for me but amazing for for others. I don’t like free falling like a rollercoaster. If I had known, I would have opted to skip it. I loved the zip lines. Definitely worth the money.

I would give this tour (Sat 6th 11am) 5* for safety and 1* for pleasure and positivity. Our instructors (one of whom was so mumbly we didn’t even get his name) may as well have been robots, going through the motions to get us on and off wires but with zero enthusiasm or encouragement. I couldn’t get the hang of braking, which left me yanking my arm backwards and spinning helplessly while hurtling towards trees, but they didn’t bother to help correct whatever it was I was doing wrong, just carried on, and were much more interested in their phones than whether anyone on the trip was having a good time. There was zero info about the trees, canopy, or anything, no passion or pride for the environment we were in. I left the trip and walked back to reception after the first few zip lines because the prospect of repeatedly messing it up in front of other customers and indifferent instructors was not tempting. My first zipline experience was frustrating and disappointing - I didn’t get to enjoy any views because I was so stressed about not being able to stay straight or brake - and will 100% be my last. Ending on a positive - Brayan took some great pictures of my son, and the safety procedures were very tight.

THIS ONE IS THE BEST!!! We spent 3x times as much with friends in La fortuna zipline and rappel and it didnt even compare so this is THE EXPERIENCE! Our guide, Sergio was AWESOME! Everyone was safe, we had 17, 12, 10 children and this was our first time ever doing something like this. You are told the rules and off you go! The entire time you are go go go, it's amazing. We were very high up in trees and the views are amazing! It was the BEST experience we did in the 10 days in Costa Rica. THIS IS THE ONE! BOOK IT!

I can't recommend this experience enough. My friends and I had an amazing time every minute of the experience. There were so many zip lines - starting off a little lower and shorter, and getting higher and longer as we went. There were so many activities in this one tour that we kept assuming it was over, but there was more! Each activity was so much fun - I'd still recommend it if it were half as good. The staff were also amazing - Mauricio, Joseph, and Gerald made everything run so smoothly, knew exactly what they were doing, and made everyone feel very safe and comfortable. They also made sure to take a lot of photos of each activity! I can't recommend this strongly enough!

We had a wonderful time with this company and Sergio and Bryan, in particular. This tour is perfect for people with kids or just people wanting a variety of experiences. We loved the Tarzan swing, rappelling, zipling, and climbing through a Fig tree. We felt safe and Sergio and Bryan were great with our kids (6 and 9). Everyone is hooked now and wants to go again. The whole experience was wonderful!

My two daughters and I did the zip lining in Monteverde recently and had the most amazing, memorable time. Joseph and Gerald were fantastic guides. They explained every step of the excursion which started with the Tarzan swing and progressed into a number of zip line rides, repelling, and a climb through a ficus tree and up a rope ladder. I felt nervous at the start but our amazing guides helped calm my fears and made us feel very safe. Soaring over the Cloud forest was simply breathtaking! The tour surpassed all our expectations and I highly recommend it! Thanks to our guides for a super memorable experience and one we will never forget!
