Really getting to know Montevideo

Our tour was fantastic! Javier was the best guide we could have imagined. He took us everywhere we wanted, did the tour accordingly to our needs and wishes. He took care of us, was very friendly, warm-hearted, funny and knowledgeable! He told us a lot of interesting historical as well as side stories and we had nice conversations. We leave with the feeling of having a good impression of Montevideo. He also gave us the perfect recommendation for a good chivito. Yummy. Highly recommended! Thank you so much!

Wonderful day in Montevideo

Our cruise arrived late, but Javier waited for us. He drove us all around Montevideo with many stops along the way. He told us the history of the city and what Montevideo is like today. He gave us a walking tour of the old, historical section of the city and then escorted us back to the dock. He was sensitive to our individual needs. He is easy to spend time with and an excellent tour guide.

Our guide truly was amazing and the tour was very worthwhile. He really made us feel comfortable and we enjoyed how much he loved the city. Very knowledgeable and made visiting much more enjoyable then we ever could on our own. Javier is awesome and even showed us his favorite empanada spot. Made my 6 year old comfortable and she enjoyed it too.

A personal day of explorations

Javier was our guide and driver and the owner of this excursion company. The group was just Javier and us, Tina and me. He treated us like family and allowed us to add and subtract all our preferred destinations. I would rate this tour as one of the best three of all of our years of traveling around the world.

First of all, I don't know many people who know as much about their country's history, politics and must do's as Javier...who is ALSO so passionate about having you see all that Montevideo has to offer. Javier’s city tour was the best!! He gave us so much information of the history of Montevideo-from its origins up to the present time. We saw many parts of the city & enjoyed an outdoor restaurant for lunch. Javier kept the tour to our pace & our interests. It was so much nicer traveling in our group of 4, rather than a bus load of people. Would highly recommend this tour with Javier!

Day tour of Montevideo

Javier was very accomodating with our city tour. He picked us up at the ferry terminal and took us to Old Town for a walking tour. He has a lot of knowledge about Montevideo and Uruguay. We then went up to the "hill" (Cerro) for an amazing view of the harbour. Next to the "Prado" area, Parliament building, and drop off at our hotel. Thank you Javier

The perfect tour of Montevideo on a shore excursion

We booked this tour as a shore excursion. Excellent choice! Javier gave clear instructions on the meeting point, was very friendly and we enjoyed a really great day before he dropped us back, well on time, at the port. He took us through all the sights, we had read up a bit about Montevideo and saw all the areas on our list. Javier also proposed a visit the the parliament, we joined a small Spanish speaking tour, where Javier translated. An unexpected treat, and a fascinating tour. Javier offers a cohesive, informative and enjoyable tour We saw every side of Montevideo on our excursion, learnt a lot and would recommend this experience to everyone wanting to make the most of a short time in Montevideo. A great private tour experience

We had a great tour with a guide who grew up in the city there. We were just two people and it was nice having a smaller car instead of a van so we could hear and Interact with him easily. He took us everywhere we wanted to see! A great experience.
