Boared but the end was better

The ride on the tractor pulling the suri learning the farm operations. The house tour was just ok. The trip needed more organization and information. The Plantation was ok but they needed more people to tour our group to the different sights. The tour did not mention all the walking that was involved.

A bit disappointing

We were a little disappointed with the tour overall. The bus tour of Charleston seemed to end rather abruptly, the tour guide was difficult to understand, and then too much “market time” was allotted to be on our own. It was too long of a day for what we experienced from the tour itself.

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your tour. While some guests enjoy the extended market time, it sounds like you might have enjoyed our Tour #7 package offering which is a fuller itinerary that also includes a narrated Harbor Tour, and less time at the market.

Shopping at the market was better than expected. Many vendors with a variety of offerings. City tour was very informative and interesting. Lunch was nice, we ate at the plantation. The plantation home guide gave a lot of information about the home. Our driver for both tours were very accommodating. There is a lot of walking so bring your comfortable shoes.

We were visiting Myrtle Beach and this was a great day trip to see a glimpse of Charleston. Boone plantation is a gem in Charleston. I’m glad we have this part of history preserved.

This trip was okay, I had never been to Charleston but my parents have so they wanted to take to me, I was excited for the plantation but was kind of let down, I thought would see more of the downstairs of the home but only seen 3 rooms however the tour guide was an older gentleman and he was so sweet and friendly loved him! Everyone there was friendly and I did learn a few things I’m grateful for overall not sure how I felt about it but that’s not the tours fault, the bus driver was super friendly and drove that bus like a pro! The lunch provided was better than I expected! Overall i could do it again would of done the battleship tho that looked awesome!

It was very enriching to see where and how my ancestors lived on Boone Plantation. I do think we had more time then needed at the Plantation. Downtown Charleston was beautiful. I wish the tour would add the new African American Museum. It could take the place of the market.

The story teller at Boone Plantation. The bus ride through the city of Charleston and the history. We had a great tour guide. She picked us up and dropped us off at the same place in a timely manner. The whole tour was on schedule as planned.

This was a life changing I that I experienced with that day trip to Charleston and Boone Plantation. The lady in tour bus 5 was clear and accurate and I can tell she love doing her job. The guy Richard who tour us Charleston was clear and accurate to and take his time showing us around. The trip and the food is worth the money . I could not believe this tour was so cheap for that experience and how many things I learned and see that day.Looking forward for a next trip like this when I visit Myrtle Beach again.

Tour #5 is not rushed

Tour #5 was not rushed but made for a long day as we left at 6:45 am and returned at 7:15 pm to Ripley Aquarium meeting spot. At least 45 minutes each way was taken up picking up and dropping off people at Hotels on Ocean Blvd and at Murrells Inlet. Total travel time each way was about 2 1/2 hours. Our bus driver Wendy was very professional throughout picking up and dropping people as tour #7 was intermingled with various options (Fort Sumter or Yorktown aircraft carrier.) Tour#5 was much more leisurely leaving plenty of time for shopping, exploring the French Quarter and the Boone plantation.

I really enjoyed the Boone Hall Plantation. Every guide there was friendly and had so much knowledge about the plantation in the different dwellings you went to. I also really enjoyed the Gullah theater. You really got a true sense of what it was like to be a slave.

I was in 1 of 3 tours on the bus trip 5 of 19 people. My tour included the full tour around charleston (not to ft sumter and carriage ride). We were supposed to get lunch but the driver did not give it to us. One of the attendees asked him about it when i had already left the bus at arrival at boone hall (at 2 pm). One of the passengers saw me at 3 and gave me the lunch. The turkey sandwich was warm so i didnt eat it. The driver was hard to understand and spoke fast.
