If you don’t speak Japanese, don’t let language barriers get in your way. Your guide helps to explain the menus, and order unique, local dishes and drinks for you. Additionally, there may be instances where substitutions are not possible at certain stops; however, we will make every effort to compensate at different stops throughout the tour.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

I had an amazing time on the bar hopping tour in Osaka with our guide, Aina! Aina's positive energy and knowledge of the local scene really made the experience unforgettable. We sampled fun and unique drinks at each stop, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this tour for a fantastic night out in Osaka!

Enjoyable but definitely not a "Tour"

We had an enjoyable time but the tour was not as described: the food was different (not 2 dishes + skewers), we didn't visit 3 izakaya bars, etc. Also, the guide did not provide information and when we asked a question (for example, "what are we eating?") she often did not know the answer. Essentially it was a night out with a nice group of people but we don't feel any more knowledgeable about visiting, or odering at, an izakaya after this experience.

If you're doing the locals good tour then skip this

Guide was good, but the tour takes you to 2 restaurants and 1 bar only. Over priced. Annoying that one of the restaurants is the same as the local food tour on Viator.

Yuko was a fantastic guide who took us on a full stroll through Dotonburi (including showing us great spots for pictures and pointing out restaurants known for various types of foods like ramen, okonomiyaki, takoyaki, etc.) and to three spots in total, including a terrific Japanese whiskey bar to cap the night off. Highly recommend.

The first Restaurant the service was Deplorable! The second was good as with the Sake. The third Bar we went to did not have Sake so I ordered a glass of White wine...around 1.5 oz poor. I refused it and told the Bartender poor me a glass of wine or throw it away...he threw it down the drain and I left!

Thank you for your honest feedback. We are sorry to hear that there was no sake provided at the third bar and you had to leave. Although we specified that sake is included in the menu , we have other kinds of alcohol that are original to Japan. You might have been very particular about having nothing but sake at all the bars you went to but it would have been fun trying out other kinds of alcohol. Just a suggestion! Firstly the good points. The Guide, Nao, worked very hard & tried her best. The walking between venues was interesting & the second bar had a lively atmosphere. Now the negatives. At the first bar we waited over an hour for food, causing us to rush the rest of the Trip. This gave me a feeling of being hurried. Indeed, if it wasn't for the Guide I would have given an even lower rating.

We are glad to hear that our guide did her best to continue the tour on time but at the same time, it's a shame to hear that you were too in a hurry to enjoy each bar to the fullest. As you prpbably know, the global pandemic hit restaurants hard and Japan was no exception. We hear that they're having hard time training new staffs as they had to let go of them during the pandemic. As much as we expect great quality of service from the restaurants we work with, we might have to be a little bit patient in the meantime. Memorable parts for me include chatting with our tour guide, learning more about Osaka's nightlife and trying the different foods and drinks at each location. Our tour guide was amazing and we created lasting memories at each place we visited. Even after the tour, she went out of her way to show us another bar that she goes to which quickly became my favorite bar in Osaka. Thank you for creating an experience that I will remember for a lifetime!
