    Disappointing Experience with Hunter Charters

    Our recent excursion with Hunter Charters on their 46' Ocean Yacht left much to be desired, to say the least. The advertised promise of an enjoyable day of fishing, snorkeling, or beaching around Rose Island turned out to be far from reality. Right from the start, our experience was marred by extremely rough waters, making it nearly impossible to enjoy any activity on the boat. The motion sickness was so severe that two members of our group ended up vomiting, and everyone else felt nauseous. Despite our discomfort, communication with the guide was minimal at best. We weren't given any guidance on fishing or any explanation of what to expect during the trip. Moreover, our attempts to engage with the guide about fishing were met with unwelcoming responses. When one of our group tried to prevent a fishing pole from falling over, they were rudely instructed not to touch the fishing gear. Throughout the journey, we felt like unwanted guests on our own excursion. We were ordered to remove our shoes and stay out of the way without any explanation or safety instructions provided. The cabin area, which was supposed to be a place for relaxation, was far from inviting. It was outdated and uncomfortable, with a shabby couch covered in a blanket. Our 10-year-old daughter was scolded for placing her backpack on a cooler, which was deemed unacceptable by the guide. This lack of hospitality and unwelcoming atmosphere only added to our disappointment. Furthermore, the description of the excursion provided the impression that there would be options for activities and that we would have some say in what we wanted to do. However, this was far from the truth. We were simply told that we were deep-sea fishing and that there would be no stops. It felt as though we were merely financing the crew's fishing trip, with little consideration for our preferences or comfort. In the end, unable to endure the rough conditions any longer and frustrated by the lack of flexibility, we requested to return to the dock. Overall, our experience with Hunter Charters fell far short of our expectations, and we would not recommend their services to others seeking an enjoyable marine excursion.

    Good day, We talk with the crew about this trip, in our business we explain everything before the trip and ask what would you like to do. Firstly our boats are made for charter and not luxury. We take care of all our guest no matter who it is. We are also sorry for your experience. Also the crew said multiple fish was caught, which the company have proof. Lastly but least our Reviews shows the good work we do.

    Jake and Alex were very kind and you could tell they love what they do! The day was a bit windy and the water was cold so we didn't do much swimming, but the day on the water was really nice. They were willing to go wherever we wanted and we spent the extra $30 per person to go and see the pigs. It was a fun experience, but it's something we would only do one time. There isn't much else to do there and we were glad to be able to see the pigs and then get back on the boat for some fishing. We didn't catch much due to the time of year but it was still a fun experience. The boat was definitely older and showing it's wear, but it worked out fine for our purposes. We loved the experience for meeting Jake and Alex. We probably wouldn't do this again unless it was summer season!

    We had a family of six and it was an awesome time with Captain PJ, Mike and Jake. They were very accommodating and we caught plenty of wonderful fish. Jake cleaned and cut the fish, then we walked over to The Poop Deck restaurant and they grilled it for us! So fresh and yummy! I highly recommend this tour, thank you!!

    The Captain and 1st Mate ensured that we had a memorable day on the water. Fishing and Snorkeling on the reef. They were able to dodge the weather and put us on where the fish were biting. Would defiantly repeat and recommend this team!

    Such a wonderful experience. The whole crew was excellent and really worked to ensure the trip was successful. Lots of fun with an experienced and engaged crew! Thank you! We wish we had went for even longer- 6 or even 8 hours but we only booked 4 as we didn’t know how everyone would do out to sea. The water was calm and it was just awesome. Would recommend and certainly would do it again!!
