What To Expect

Once your cruise ship docks, your guide will meet you at the port. Climb into the waiting air-conditioned van and get going on your historic tour of Nassau, including the Queen's staircase. This 65-step landmark was carved out of solid limestone in the 1700s. Lace up your hiking shoes for the 102-foot (31-meter) climb to the top of Bennet's Hill, Nassau's highest point. Check out Fort Fincastle and the nearby water tower. Those who would prefer not to walk can remain in the van for the ride to the top.

Stop at the mini straw market for about half an hour to shop for souvenirs, then head over to the Graycliff Chocolate Factory for some of the best chocolate in the Bahamas. Get your camera ready for the next stop at New Providence Cave, once a lair for pirates, before heading over to Nirvanna Love Beach. Swim, snorkel, and refuel with lunch and a soft drink before returning to the cruise port for drop-off.

This is a simple tour. Liked it, but was a short tour. Food was very good. Tour guide was very helpful and answered all of our questions.

This trip provided an insight into the life of the typical Bahamian resident. We went places and saw areas of the city and countryside that you are just not going to see if you take organized tours from the cruise lines that go to the tourist trap sites like Atlantis etc. We went down the back alleys to visit a rum cake maker, a chocolate factory where we got a tour and tasting of the wares, a trip to an old fort, a tour around the neighbourhood and a trip to a small private beach for snorkelling.... minimal ability to change clothing here... had to use a washroom. The beach was not the greatest and the rocks were close to the surface, but there were fish to see. We were not provided with any food on the trip. Our transportation during this trip comprised of a small van/ taxi that was desperately in need of some front end and brake work... somewhat nerve racking on the bumpy secondary roads we were on... but the air conditioning worked well. Overall, this trip is not for those seeking a polished trip to tourist areas, but is ideal for those wishing to experience a little bit on how the common folk live. Be prepared for small vendor stalls where you get called over to check out the same goods that the next vendor has, and folks looking for tips. These folks really do live from tourist money

This is a family run touring group. Vans were clean, air conditioned and guides are dedicated to your group. This means that they move on to the next experience when you are ready, a luxury we did not expect! You will get to taste/purchase rum cakes at a local factory and my oldest son, who did not like rum cake before we got there, has been converted. Very moist, Bahamian rum is flavorful, variety of flavors from Amaretto to Pina Colada. Cakes come in a small souvenir size to full size, vacuum packed for freshness to follow you home to share a taste of Nassau with your friends. Bakers behind glass were friendly as was the host behind the counter. Chocolate tasting was very special for my chocoholic sons. We were invited to remove the chaff of the roasted cocoa bean to get to the nib, taste nibs, taste dark to white chocolates, and learned about the process. At the end we had to take some of their pretty chocolates with us. We also visited a local cave full of fruit bats and heard pirate stories. Between tastings we visited the Queens Steps and got a full 360 view of the island from the vantage point of the fort near by. There are also local vendors with souvenirs that are better than what you find just off the port. Our adventure ended at a beach where we were supplied with lounge chairs, a barbecue burger lunch with a fresh cold soda. As our guide suggested we get the local flavor, the cost of the food was credited toward my purchase of a conch salad. Urge you to try the same, it was great! White sand beach was not very crowded, restrooms were clean, can do snorkeling but need to swim out to the fishes and we had tween boys who were not confident to explore that much. Easily spent 2 hours there and could have stayed longer but our ship was leaving and we had to go. Full enjoyment of every minute of time we had to give that port stop. Worth it!

Such an amazing tour!!! The best excursion my fiancee and I did on our recent cruise. They were waiting right outside the port with a sign so it was very easy to find. Then Tyrone Wilson gave us some amazing Bahamas rum to start us off on our tour. Our tour guide was Berty, she was awesome! Very personable and knowledgeable about the island, she made a great tour even better. From the rum cake to the chocolate factory to the beach that was gorgeous and all ours, this tour well worth it. I highly recommend it if your in Nassau for a day or a week, Tyrone Wilson's is where it's at!

Fun and exciting tour, Birdie was our tour guide which she was very kind and easy to talk with. The water was to cold for us to go snorkeling however we enjoyed the beach time. There were five of us and the only thing I would suggest is that she talk a little louder for the people in the back of the vehicle to hear what she says as she tours around the areas. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you!

Went on this tour Jan 13, 2017. Had a wonderful afternoon seeing the city with Sherry AKA Bahama Mama. She was very knowledgeable about the city and very fun to talk with. The van she drove us around in was very well maintained and comfortable and we were able to leave our belongings in the van during our stops which was a great bonus because we didn't want to lug our gear around at every stop. She opted to drive us to the fish fry for some conch salad which was amazing. Great choice! Thanks Tyrone and Sherry for a wonderful experience in Nassau!

This was a terrific tour that allowed us to both see the main tourist attractions of Nassau and get some beach and snorkel time at a private and less crowded beach named Love Beach. Our guide Jeffrey was informative and funny and gave us the flexibility to spend as much time as we would like at each site. We saw the Queen's Staircase and a local fort, a chocolate factory 15 minute tour with a free sample and some local caves. We then spent 3 hours and lunch at a beautiful beach. The snorkeling was good shallow so not amazing but the beach was terrific. The whole tour took about 5 hours. They are a smaller tour company so it is a little less organized at the start but the tour was great.

The driver was very knowledgable and a safe driver. But for the cost we could have could have taken a cab to the sights and the beach. We where able to use the equipment at the beach and we were given a 20 dollar credit for lunch.

Wonderful tour! Tyrone Wilson was very friendly and professional. Randy our driver was funny and knowledgeable. His driving will scare you a little, but we felt it added to the adventure. : The Rum Cake Factory had delicious cakes! The Graycliff Chocolate factory was alright. But our favorite was the pirate cave and the Nirvanna Love Beach! The little restaurant there had wonderful food!! Everyone was friendly and helpful and the beach was lovely! Unfortunately for us, it was too cold when we went so we chose not snorkel, but the reef comes right up to the beach area and you can walk and see all kinds of fish that are caught in the low water right there on land. I can only imagine the different types of fish we would have seen had we went into the water. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is planning on visiting Nassau!!! And ask for Randy as your driver....You won't regret it!! :
