What To Expect

Your small-group, local-led tour of Nice’s in-the-know dining destinations begins right before lunchtime. Meet your guide in the city center, and be sure to come hungry: You’ll try enough samples and tastings to add up to a generous meal.

First, begin with savory Niçois staples that few visitors get to try. Indulge in the classic pan bagnat, try socca, nibble farçis Niçois, and taste pissaladière (vegetarian–friendly substitutes are also offered). As you go, you’ll visit a range of traditional food businesses, and will learn all about Nice’s cuisine and culture from your guide.

Next, finish your indulgent tastings with desserts. Try a range of artisanal macarons before ending with Italian ice cream. While water is included in the cost, you can also choose to purchase additional beverages as you go.

Finally, your gourmet tasting tour ends directly at your original departure point, leaving you plenty of time to continue your sightseeing.

The big pan bagnat was a surprise to start the tour, but it was delicious! There was only one item I didn’t care for, but I wouldn’t have eaten that anywhere! (The sweet item made with chard/wilted greens). I loved everything else, and I thought our guide was FANTASTIC!

The Tour we thought had more food but it only had 4 little bite size, a Socca which was nice and freshly made and half a bread roll sandwich. The only time we sit down is when we sit at the park to eat our Socca and sandwich. We thought it will be in a restaurant and sitting down or at least inside but we eat outside standing and on the park. The photo advertisement looked like people are in a table? For the amount we paid and the food we had its not worth it! The guide was very pleasant she tried her best and she is very friendly. The disappointing part is the food! Value for money is not worth it!

Our tour guide Audrey was terrific. Excellent English, friendly, helpful, and knows her way around the Nice food scene. She paced the tour just right. Not an excessive amount of walking [especially for older folks], adequate time spent at restaurant locales, and a tasteful lunch break in a park with delicious homemade sandwiches. A very pleasant way to spend an afternoon in Nice. Highly recommended!

Eli was a fantastic, entertaining and fun food tour guide. My wife is Gluten Free and I had contacted the No Diet Club in advance to see if this tour could accommodate that. The initial response was not encouraging until Eli stepped in. She brought along a loaf of Gluten Free bread and had prepared each of the restaurants and shops we visited for my wife's allergy. The tour was absolutely outstanding, the food delicious and we could not be more thankful for Eli's graciousness and prowess as a tour guide. I highly recommend this tour to truly understand and sample all that is Nice cuisine.

The walking was easy with plenty of stops and interesting stories. The food was delicious. We felt like real insiders, as our fantastic tour guide, Heloise, let us in on all the best local spots. My partner and I aren't big foodies but this was such a good tour to try and learn about the local dishes of Nice. Heloise was such a great host and guide. She's super bubbly and incredibly knowledgeable about the food we tried as well as local facts around Nice. Plus after the tour she shared photos that she took on the tour and also a list of recommended restaurants along the French Riviera, super handy for us as we were heading to a different town after Nice! In our tour we had 7 people in the group and we felt very inclusive and involved in all the activities we did. I can confidently say that if we didn't do this tour, we would've had no idea of what to eat in Nice so if this is your first time in Nice or want to know more about the local dishes, look no further than this tour. You will end the tour with happy and full bellies 😋

What a fun tour with our guide, Heloise! She was very knowledgeable of the area, Old Town, and the various foods! She also gave great recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. I can highly recommend this tour as an excellent introduction to niçoise cuisine while also visiting points of interest around Nice. Among others, we tried pan bagnat, socca, pissaladière and ice cream. Everything we tried was very tasty, but I think the pan bagnat was my overall favourite as it was full of flavour and tasted very fresh. Our tour guide (Léo) was friendly, full of information and very helpful. Our group wasn't too big (there were four of us in total), which ensured that we were all able to hear our guide properly and that it felt more like walking around with a group of friends on a tasty tour of Nice. All in all, douze points from me! :-)
