Your bottom fishing tour begins when you meet your guide and boat at Kewalo Basin Harbor 20 minutes before the departure time. This shared excursion eliminates the need to charter your own boat and is ideal for friends and families.

Then begin sailing off the coast of Honolulu exploring nearshore and offshore grounds for prized fish. Enjoy stunning views of Honolulu from the vessel and receive all necessary fishing gear and bait.

The boat crew was very friendly and helpful, we had a great time, beautiful weather, ocean view of the Waikiki Beach and Diamond head. We cought one big fish and the crew cooked it for everyone to share and released the little fishes and an octopus 🐙 . Please remember this is not deep sea fishing, this is bottom boat fishing. Also, bring cash to give a tip if you would like, I didn't have any cash... I used Venmo. Also, to the boat crew, thank you for the ginger chews while I was not feeling well on the boat, very thoughtful of you all.

The mono line was not ideal for sharp teeth fish. Braid would have been more effective. Bait could have been better.

Nice fishing trip to the kids

Overall it was a fun trip for the kids. The weather was nice and the boat was big enough to accommodate everybody. The deckhands were very helpful to replace broken fishing line and unhook the fish when we got one. The only thing is that the captain chose to change the spot a little too frequently. I think we changed four or five times during the entire trip, which only had about 2 hours of actually fishing excluding the round trip from the port.

We kept moving into new spots for fishing, but out of 35 people. Only 3 small fish were caught. We should have gone out more ch further if we were to catch fish.

Not worth the time and money

There were about 40 people on the boat and about 10 fish caught. Either the coast is overfished or the captain takes people to the same 3 stops all the time. There are two deck hands and I think only one of them was doing anything. I spent most of the time fixing tangles for people on my side of the boat. The only good was we seen some dolphins.

I almost caught a big one!!! The young lady with the glasses helped me and tag teamed that amazing fish but we could not get it in. Everyone on staff was fun and so nice.

The crew was very attentive, pleasant, and helpful. However, there were strong winds blowing making half the boat sick and making the experience a bit less than pleasant. Also, only one group caught their own fish and they brought their own bait.

Crew was super attentive and nice. We went with our 11 year old and 9 year old. The weather forecast for the day was “wind” so it was choppy out there! If you get motion sickness take Dramamine. The crew was great calming the nerves of my 9 year old at the start due to the big waves. My 11 year old is chatty and they answered all her questions and listened to her stories and helped her do it all on her own (no help from mom and dad). We saw a few whales jump (humpback whale season) and 5 sea turtles among the rolling waves. There were about 20 of us on the boat total. Not everyone caught a fish, but that was expected. If you want a haul, book the deep sea charters. This was perfect for us, looking for a few hours on the water, attentive crew for beginners, and seeing some sea life. We had a great time and would do it again. Bring cash to leave a tip, you will want to show your appreciation for this crew!

Recomended to take small kids to catch their first fish although the boat takes too many people to max out the profit. Plenty of small colorfull fish to catch and make your kids happy. Not recomended for single adults unless you are a complete newbie to fishing.

The boat was comfortable, although standing most of the time as there were not many seats. The crew was very nice and friendly. The equipment was good. My only disappointment was that the hooks used for fishing were very small. It was apparent that their goal was only to catch very small reef fish.

This was a wonderful experience with my 14 and 16 year old. Staff were very helpful. We caught a few different fish that the staff knew about so we learned about Hawai’i fish. The best part was the experience of eating the fish right on the boat. The staff filleted them and seasoned them as we were returning to shore. Highly recommend this fun experience while in Hawaii!
