Lovely Cotswold Tour

Our guide, Jo, gave us the most wonderful tour of the Cotswolds. She took us to a variety of lovely villages, several off the beaten track, providing a fascinating narrative about each area including current facts, history, and delightful anecdotes (all while driving narrow, sometimes congested, roads). Personable and articulate, Jo made this a most memorable day.

Our tour guide was phenomenal! Even on a rainy day my wife and I immensely enjoyed her storytelling and recommendations. We had plenty of time to explore the villages between short rides. The group size made for incredible company and great value in the tour.

A fantastic tour through Cotswold!

We met Ian near about 10 am at the OXFORD railway station; he was carrying a placard in his hand mentioning the undiscovered Cotswold tour. There were two other families waiting nearby. I didn't realize that they were also going on the same tour, until Ian arrived and checked with them. Their company made the tour even more pleasant. One family was from Malaysia with husband, wife and their daughter, recently got admitted to Oxford in Earth Sciences. The other was a newly married couple from California. We went to 6 or 7 villages in the tour, all with distinct history, so you will get to experience the diversity of the villages, their history and legacy. The Bourton on the water was such a picturesque place, with seating and roaming places near a fresh water stream. I had my lunch there - the Bakery on the water. It was good. What made the tour even more enjoyable is the company of Ian. What a fantastic person he was, besides being a tour guide. He kept us engaged with interesting stories and anecdotes. I was sitting on the front seat near Ian on the driver's seat. It could not have been more enjoyable and fun. Thanks Ian for your great company. I wish we could meet again and I take another trip through the villages, enjoying your company. Cheers!

Could start a half hour sooner to allow a few extra minutes at some of the stops. One stop was 20 minutes where 30 was needed.

Our guide was very good and knew so much about the villages that we were visiting. The tour started and ended on time and took us through such picturesque countryside. We took the train from London to Oxford and were met at the station by our guide. She was very friendly and offered many good suggestions.

The tour was absolutely amazing. Jason was a great driver and an exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. The rolling hills and welcoming, picturesque small villages were beautiful as expected, but Jason’s detailed accounts of history greatly enhanced the experience. Traveling in a small group made the tour more personable and far more enjoyable than a large group tour.

This was a great way to see the Cotswolds without having to hire a car. The van held 8 people including our guide so it wasn’t too big. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this trip. I booked 1 month out and got the last seat so don’t procrastinate too much!!!

Being in a small group (7 plus driver) was unique and excellent. Our guide was funny and knowledgeable. We got to know our fellow travelers. We were able to go places where big touring buses are not able to go. The pace of the day and time spent was just perfect. It was a truly grand day, and I am so glad that I chose this trip.
