Too many participants very disappointing!

Very good and interesting tour with excellent tour guide. However, way too many participants to fully enjoy the tour. 50% less participants would have given the participants a much better opportunity to see and hear the tour guide!

Fun guide, good history of the building and owner. I didnt know much about the building but it was a fun learning experience. The building doesn't have a lot though, you can probablyh just explore this alone without the guide but you do learn a lot from her.

Many thanks to our guide, Alexis for the great tour she hosted of the Blue Mansion. She is one of the best guides we have had. Great delivery of information regarding the history & construction of the Blue Mansion made our visit very enjoyable & interesting. We had a large group but Alexis did well with her effective communication & mindfulness of the size of the group. Easy & convenient to book with Viator. Would recommend booking ahead, as this tour was certainly a popular one.

Completely overbooked for size of property - crowd unbearable

Tour so overbooked it was almost impossible to see or hear anything because of the crowd (which was a real shame as guide was really good). A lot of the group broke away and explored on their own and left early as impossible to enjoy the tour.
This visit is the “Must” in Georgetown.

A beautiful place. Guide was very competent. However, your tour conditions require minimum two persons for the booking. I am on business trip and travel alone. There was no other way but to pay for two people. Yet there were more than 30 participants in a group for the visit starting at 11am. Please do consider to improve your system.

As it was a Friday the tour was conducted by one of the owners Loh Lin Lee. She gave a full account of how they bought the mansion and the history of the mansion from it's original construction to their purchase and subsequent renovation processes.

The guide was informative and humorous. It was just the right length of time for a tour. One could also have a drink or meal afterwards in the hotel/vicinity. There was good washroom facilities.

Blue Mansion is an excellent place to understand the multi-cultural aspects of this area. BUT the tour guide, Cumelle, spoke in such heavily accented English we understood about 50% of what she said. We are Americans and it seemed like the local tourists could follow her. The experience was awful and a waste of our money.Her speech was filled with so many non-fluencies (filler) words we got lost. Unless we stood right in front of her and had context of what she was talking about, it was hopeless. With 40+ people on the tour in small rooms, being close was very difficult. We tried to switch to a different tour, but none was available for our time in Penang.
