Awesome tour!

Md. Firdauz is an excellent tour guide. He provides you insight and history of buildings, roads, and places along your journey. He's very knowledgeable of Penang and it's history! He also brought us to many other places not on our itinerary. Definitely an excellent tour and highly recommend this tour with Md.
An awesome day learning about Georgetown 😁

We had a great half day tour with tour guide Ash. He picked us up from our hotel in a nice clean comfortable air con car. As it was tomb sweeping day - we went to visit the temples first to avoid the crowd. Then we visited the Chew jetty, Khoo khongsi n Peranakan Museum. Ash was knowledgeable and had the balance of history info and trivia. He even took us to a local kopi tiam to have fried kway teow near our hotel which was excellent as we had some spare time. Overall a very good private tour .. thank you !
Unfriendly, not wheel chair friendly, wanted to finish the tour after only 2 hours.

This trip was miss sold as a wheel chair accessible tour, that the driver was unfriendly and unhelpful and did not want to put my scooter in his car, also that he become hostile when i asked to be taken to other places of interest as the trip had only been for 2 hours at that point. The driver was very rude insisting that he needed to wash the tyres of my scooter after i spent some time in the market area. We didnt wash the soles of our feet?
Extremely helpful and informative trip

After spending a lifetime as a school teacher and 7 years now as a tour guide, Cheam was so informed about Penang’s past and current trends it was like having an interactive Penang for Google. My parents and I asked a flurry of questions about the Malay, Chinese, Baba-Nonya, Peranakan, and Indian communities, she not only answered them intuitively, but with compassion for all sides and with a touch of humour. We spent more than the allotted time and she even took us to her favourite Laksa place, which we later found out was awarded a Michelin bib for two years running. Without a doubt one of the best tour experiences we’ve had. Not to be missed.
Interesting. Covered a lot!

Muhammad (the tour guide) was friendly, informative and also did a few extra stops on the tour so I could take photos of street art. It was a great afternoon.
Fabulous History tour

We were met by Ang, our tour guide, first thing in the morning. Ang is a very polite individual, he explained the history of the island and answered all of our questions. He made it very interesting with his sense of humor and positive attitude. We learned a lot about the history and the mixture of cultures that confluence in Penang. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the history of the city.
Would not recommend

Sorry to say that this was the worst tour I have taken in Penang and I have taken many. Whenever I have guests visiting me in KL I take them to Georgetown and hire a guide. Our “guide” was not at all knowledgeable about the history is this wonderful city. We basically had a glorified driver. It was would been cheaper to rent a Grab for the day.
Excellent tour by Ang

Excellent tour. Our guide, Ang, was brilliant. He arrived at our hotel early and everything proceeded smoothly. Ang has a great sense of humour and is passionate about his tour. The explanations were fascinating too - he was a brilliant tour guide and made our day!
Not what we expected. It was more a driver than a guide

The whole experience felt more like a taxi service rather than a personalised guided tour. The guide did not bother to come inside with us to most of the points of interests or provide any explanations. At the Khoo Kongsi for example we had to read all information panels as he was not actually guiding us or providing any information. When asked, he simply pointed us at the information panels. The last stop were two buddhist and Burmese temples. Again he just dropped us and waited in the car. Very sad to discover that people inside the temples were with their guides except us… He also dropped us at two shops to buy shirts and coffee… overall very disappointing as it was not as advertised. We were expecting a guided tour and not a taxi service. I would not recommend it. Much better to buy guided tours at the different points of interests. The guided tour at the blue mansion was miles away from this one.
Great holiday

Very enjoyable tour. Muhammad, our driver and guide, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We appreciated all of his help.
Our guide Lim was very knowledgeable.

The reclining Budha, The Peranakan Mansion both were highlights. Driving through parts of Georgetown- gave us a nice glimpse of the area.
A must do in George town!

Guide from George town, Chong was excellent. He explained to us all the history about the points of interest we visited and took us to a real local restaurant that only offer genuine local food and drink like Laksa, gwai due and jin do drink. Before going back to the ship, he entertained our request taking us to a corner store to try the best fruit in Malaysia, Durian. I have no doubt in recommending this half day city tour to folks browsing for unforgettable memories in George Town

Good tour with very interesting historic sites. Guide had excellent English skills. Only odd part was that he said he had to take a picture of me at each site to prove to his company that he had done the tour.

This tour gives a good historical understanding of Penang. Of the things that could be easily forgotten if it's not mentioned. Knowing it makes Penang even more interesting. The guide Maxwell is very knowledgeable and courteous. He mentioned lots of details of the bygone era- ways of living and cultural elements that can easily be overlooked. Highly recommended for a full Penang immersion.
