Fantastic tour on a smaller boat. Plenty of space, comfortable seats, and some shade. The boat itself is solar powered, which is great because it’s quiet and doesn’t have any smell from the fuel.

Lovely, peaceful boat ride with a small group of 6, plus the charming friendly couple that runs the boat and give a great history of the area. Highly, highly recommend this over the larger boats jammed with people.

Fantastic! All of the boat tours pass beautiful scenery but this one was had so much more! On the small boat, it felt like a private boat ride. Captain David and his mate are locals and shared so much knowledge about the vineyards, the soul and plants and history! And they are such a sweet couple! David’s English was perfect. And its solar! 100% recommended!

Our tour guides were so knowledgable about the area—we learned so much about the region and the vineyards. The views were gorgeous, the ride was smooth, and the drinks were delicious. What an epic experience, one we'll remember the rest of our lives.

The boat ride itself was magical. We really enjoyed the solar boat with no motor noise. However, we were told to meet at the train station at 5:30 for the 6 o’clock boat ride . This turned out to be the wrong information and at 6 o’clock I finally found the boat on the river. They were running a few minutes late so we were able to get on the boat and enjoy the ride. They need to have clearer signage to get you to the boat. There is no sign or information as to where to go..

The solar boat is lovely and quiet as well as less polluting. The boat ride was gorgeous and our hosts answered all our many questions. We had a choice of red or white wine and then a port, which was perfect for the occasion. Highly recommended.

Great boat trip on the Douro, using a solar-powered motor boat making the journey calm, enjoyable and environmental-friendly. The guides are a young couple, very friendly and with lots of relevant info about the Douro. The boat welcomes 5-6 visitors, making the activity more personal. Super experience.

Wonder, peaceful and relaxing way to see this beautiful area. The boat is very comfortable and quiet which allows you to get close to the wildlife (Black Kites). Hosts were extremely knowledgeable and more than happy to answer any questions. A small boat and when we went our family of 5 were only ones on the boat, drinks and nuts included in price which is very good value.

We were incredibly lucky to have the boat to ourselves on a morning of bright spring sunshine. The trip takes you upriver to a stretch of the Douro which is just the vineyards, the olive and almond trees and the calm of the river....with no noise thanks to the solar power. David and Fabiana are great hosts and the wine - or non-alcoholic grape juice if you prefer - is an added bonus!

Very friendly staff and very accommodating for us. They even had blankets since it was cold. The boat is new and clean and the entire tour was relaxing and calm. We had a charming tour and would recommend for anyone! Thank you!
