    ***PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...

***PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ SMALL PRINT IF THERE IS ANY *** They make you pay 800 peso per person in person $48-50 per person more than what you already paid through Viator . It comes out very expensive and I don’t think it’s worth it . First off we had a schedule pick up time from the meeting location in tulum Starbucks they arrived 25 mins late no big deal because we waited inside Starbucks. When the tour guide arrived me informed us of the extra fee we owe . ( bring cash or they have a payment machine) The tour is long be prepared it is an all day experience and very very tiring. A lot of walking wear comfortable shoes . Bring frozen water or Gatorade if possible you will be extremely thirsty lunch isn’t until close to the end of the trip . I don’t feel like the tour guide is friendly to black family’s they cater to white people more I feel like . It’s sad Mexicans stereotype blacks and treat them differently they wasn’t friendly but was extremely nice to the white families

Good evening Nicole, thank you for your review. The balance of 48 corresponds to the archaeological site´s admission taxes. All customer have to pay it since they are both federal & state taxes. We do not include them in the price since these are concepts of our government. It´s all stated on your tour description, voucher and confirmation email.
    Great time

Incredibly planned and very smooth! The guides were informative and were bilingual. Definitely recommend it to anyone who's trying to do a lot in a day.
Probably not the best option, a little scammy

We took this tour out of Playa del Carmen after deciding not to rent a car for our trip. We enjoyed seeing Chichen Itza, the Cenote, and Vallodolid, but the latter two locations were way too rushed on this tour, and lunch was served way too late in the day for how long of a day trip it is. The tour company is a bit disingenuous and clearly has some kind of deal with the Mayan village stop that they take you to for lunch. Apparently all the guides follow a script in which they discourage you to spend money anywhere but the Mayan village. They also do not give enough details ahead of time of what the visit to the village and the shaman will entail. While we didn’t mind participating we had no idea this was going to happen until we were already trapped on the bus, and the additional activities took away time from the stuff we actually signed up for and wanted to see. We also were essentially coerced into purchasing an overpriced Mayan “birth certificate” which is basically a glorified horoscope and is very cheaply made. Also be aware that the price of admission to Chichen Itza, the Cenote, and drinks at lunch are not included in the price listed here, which they do not make very clear when you first buy a ticket. I would recommend comparing this against other companies that go to Chichen Itza or consider renting a car to do things at your own pace before booking with this company. Glad I got to see some of these places but there are probably better ways to see these locations.

    Great but rushed

I mostly enjoyed this experience and am glad that we decided last minute to take a tour just because the hassle of renting a car and driving didn't seem worth it. Pickup and dropoff were extremely easy, and the bus was nice with A/C, a bathroom, and USB ports. Our English speaking guide was really knowledgeable and informative, and I thought he did a good job showing us around Chichen Itza. I also liked that they gave a lot of history and background information during the bus ride which helped the driving time pass quicker. We saw a lot of the ruins and were allowed a good 15 minutes to take photos after each section. Ik Kil cenote was gorgeous but swarmed with other tourists. We did feel very rushed here as we only had one hour to get off the bus, get changed, swim, and change back into clothes again before leaving. I also felt Vallodolid was even MORE rushed with just a half hour to essentially run around the square. This tour would be insanely improved if they cut the Mayan cultural village out, but they clearly get kickbacks on it. My biggest disappointment and complaint was that they did not allow us to do any souvenir shopping at all at Chichen Itza where there were hundreds of vendors selling things that I did not end up finding anywhere else (would have loved some of the Mayan stuff I saw but wasn't allowed time to stop and purchase). They did basically say that if you wanted to skip the guided tour to shop instead, whatever go ahead and meet back at the bus at the end, but if you wanted the tour, no shopping. I would have really appreciated just like 10-20 minutes at the end to run around the stalls. Instead, you spend a bunch of time in the Kaua art village souvenir shop where prices are actually a joke. Those little painted skulls you can buy for $3 in Playa or Cancun were marked up to $19 here, and all their other prices were the same. Lunch was ok but nothing special. I did like the Mayan birth charts they made, but that was the only plus side. I'd have rather done lunch in Valladolid and had more time there or at Chichen for shopping, but other than that, I did like this tour and am glad I chose it. Just be ready for a really long, hot day, but that's true of any day trip to Chichen Itza.
