Pompeii,Wine & Horses!! We booked this tour several months ago and I received a message from Pepe right away with important information on how to arrive to the meeting place with several options on how to travel. He even gave us and option for a private driver. We arrived early at the meeting place which was at the restaurant right across from the Pompeii entrance. We had a nice cup of cappuccino as we waited. We were meet at the entrance at the exact time given. Everyone was so friendly, happy and welcoming. They split us into small groups. Our group had eight people and were so friendly. We were lead to a very nice van and were told we would do the horse ride first, Wine & Lunch and than the tour of Pompeii. It worked out perfectly!! One of members had gotten stuck on the train and hadn’t arrived yet. So before we went to the horse stable we picked him up at the train stations couple miles away! The horse stable was amazing. So well kept and the horses well taken care of. Pepe knew each of the horses and matched us up according to our riding abilities. The ride through the vineyard was absolutely breathtaking. The views were amazing. After our ride we took a van for our Wine & Lunch which again was amazing. Our group sat together and we’re served our lunch and given our wine to taste. Excellent!! We spent about hour and half there. We were able to purchase wine, olive oil and wine vinegar to ship home! When we were finished Pepe drove back to the Pompeii Ruins where we meet Theresa our guide. She was amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable and so welcoming! Our tour was wonderful. Everywhere you look it took your breath away. The history of the city is so interesting. Theresa was able to answer all our questions and gave many interesting facts. If you are looking for an awesome tour I would highly recommend this tour. We were not disappointed in any way!! Everyone we meet on the tour were amazing. They were happy, friendly and so welcoming. Everything was above our expectations.

Very experienced tour guide that led us through Pompeii! Great timing with all of the moving parts. The horse riding was led by very knowledgeable and welcoming staff. The winery was an enjoyable experience with delicious food and wine.

We had planned for a Pompeii tour, horseback riding, and wine tasting, but the weather did not cooperate. Giuseppe was phenomenal and contacted us right away with the suggestion of an additional wine tasting because we could not ride the horses. Although we were disappointed, we understood and all appreciated the redirection and help with the change in plans. Giuseppe was very responsive and arranged an excellent driver to pick us up at our air bnb. Dino shared interesting history and information along our ride. He helped us store our luggage and get our tour tickets. Our Pompeii tour guide, Kiera (I think) was fabulous. She is extremely knowledgeable and was excited to share with us and show us around. After the tour of the breathtaking ruins, another driver, Lorenzo, met us to take us to the two wine tastings. The tastings were generous and paired with delicious breads, meats, and pasta. We all had a great time and easily purchased multiple bottles to ship home. The service and staff at both vineyards were professional, skilled, and helpful. Lorenzo was incredibly kind and arranged to drive us on to a train station several towns away. He shared insights, history, and information about the region and it’s people. His passion and love for Italy is significant! We appreciate his flexibility, thoughtfulness, friendship, and service. From start to finish, our day, even with the change of plans, could not have been better! The activities and staff were all wonderful. I would absolutely enjoy working and visiting with this team again!

We had the best afternoon horseback riding through the vineyard. Our guide was fantastic. Pointing out facts about Mt Vesuvius and the the surrounding land. The horses were gentle and in beautiful condition.

This was one of the highlights of our vacation! Our guide at the ruins was so knowledgeable and she went at a perfect pace. The horseback riding was so amazing, and the guide even let me go around the arena on my own for a little bit at the end which made my heart so happy!! The vineyard was beautiful, delicious lunch and tasting. We would’ve shipped wine home to Canada if we could.

This was a fantastic tour. Our driver for the most part was Lorenzo who was very entertaining. Our tour guide in Pompeii was Vivianna who was very knowledgeable. Pompeii is fascinating and a guide is a must to get the whole experience. Following this, we went horseback riding through beautiful vineyards at the base of Vesuvius. Undoubtedly the highlight of the day, made all the more unexpectedly unique by the fact that it was just myself and my friend on this part of the tour. No issues if you’re a first time rider like my friend was, Giuseppe was very good at making her feel at ease. The horses themselves are wonderful. Finally, the winery stop was nice. It’s a small winery so the tour is very brief, 6 wines were tasted in total, 2 white, one rosé and 2 red, along with a dessert wine at the end. We were also treated to some of their olive oil and wine vinegar, which was delicious. This is all served alongside a pleasant lunch on the terrace overlooking the vineyard, which is beautiful. I can’t recommend this tour enough! Loved it.

A lovely first day in the region! Our driver, Dino, was prompt, friendly, and has a clear love for his home region! Perfect amount of time in Pompeii for our family - our guide, Theresa, pointed out the highlights and the pace was nice and easy. Then the horseback riding was perfect for the family; our group had some experienced riders and some with none, but the pace is slow and the guides walk alongside you through the vineyards around Vesuvius. We rounded out the day with wine tasting and a delicious meal with a very gracious host and staff. Great time!

Pompeii. What a day!

This is surely a tour you don’t want to miss! We started our day at around 10 AM when we met our guide Daniel. He Informed us many facts and myths about Pompeii! The tour took about two hours, and then off to the stables. Dino was our driver and remained with us throughout the rest of the day. He was a lot of fun and we enjoyed his company. Giuseppe had our horses ready when we got there, and then took us through the vineyards and mandarin trees. it was a fairytale for me! After the ride, he brought us to one of the stalls to see a two week old foal and his mama! Finally, we were off to the winery in Mount Vesuvius. The views around the winery were absolutely stunning! Here we met up with Carmine. this guy was hilarious and charming who then showed us around where the casks are and someone was there putting labels on the bottles. We then went upstairs to the tasting room and sampled all the wines they made and olive oil and vinegar. They served us a lot of delicious food which was more than a snack for sure! Of course, I then ordered a case of wine and olive oil to be shipped home lol! Thank you again to Dino, Giuseppe, and Carmine, for making this an amazing and memorable day!

Our guide through Pompeii was brilliant. She knew so much about the city, architecture and culture. She was a delight to be with for two hours. Our horse tour was canceled because the weather was too dangerous, but not to fear! We ended up going to two wineries. Our driver was funny, easy going and very helpful. It was truly an amazing experience. This company is also great at communication if something comes up.

I loved my horse and the view of mount Vesuvius.. the trail was nice and my guide was great! I felt very comfortable on the horse and he took great pictures of me :) the winery was really nice and I enjoyed tasting all the yummy wines. Seeing all the ruins was fantastic.

Horseback riding in the vineyards on Mt Vesuvius was an absolute dream! I loved every minute. I road an endurance racing horse, Ali. His trainer, Giuseppe, was a fantastic guide and the group we rode with was so much fun! I was asked to lead on the way back to the barn and I took the best pictures! 😍 I couldn’t figure out how to tag the place, Scuola di Equitazione federale centro ippico on insta but they are fantastic!!

Excellent guides.knowledgeable, respectful, kind, humorous. Small group was great. Pompeii was amazing. Guide answered all questions. Vineyard was beautiful setting, good food and wine. Trail ride was beautiful… elglish and western saddles. Guides were easy to get in touch with, helped with specific transport and luggage details and even stays in touch after the tour to help me navigate public transport. Fantastic!! Go on this tour!!! I had a great experience as a solo traveler.

A fun & enjoyable experience. Great guide at the ruins, she was funny but also informative. Our driver Dino was keen to share his knowledge & nothing was too much trouble. Our guide with the horses was also a lot of fun. This was such a unique experience. We loved our experience on this tour.

This whole entire experience was a perfect day from beginning to end! In Pompeii, our guide Theresa was absolutely amazing. She was funny and witty. Knowledgeable and made our tour of Pompeii accessible. I love the way she explained what each area was and used pop culture references to get her point across. So clever. She also answered all of our questions patiently and completely. She always made sure everyone in our group was ok, could hear, had water etc. She was an amazing guide. Off to the vineyard for a delicious lunch. The good was phenomenal as was the wine. We were served promptly and our waiter explained what each wine was as well as the meal! (They also had options for people with dietary restrictions) Finally was our horse ride. This ended up being the favorite part of our group. Our guide Guiseppe (and his cat Giorgio) was beyond. He exceeded every expectation. He taught us patiently but hilariously teased us. We had so much fun with him when he comes to the states we want him to visit Philadelphia so he can hang out with us! What a huge personality! And sweet and kind as well. We had great horses and the view was just glorious. I can not recommend this tour highly enough. We have already told multiple friends about it. I think you will have a super time, and it is well worth the money! So…..just do it! Grazie mille for this out of this world tour!

Wonderful day ! Loved the wine tasting and venue. Horse riding was great and scenery was amazing ! Right on train route to Napoli and Sorrento, but the town of Pompei looked nice as well. Would definitely recommend

Could’ve been great… but was terrible

This could’ve been great if we had been able to go in this tour. We arrived 20 minutes early, but the tickets distributed to us had the incorrect meet up location, which was 700 meters away from the actual meet up location. Theresa (the tour guide) was not where we were told and the sign she held was not as described. When we finally found the group, she would not wait 5 minutes to let us redeem the Pompeii entry tickets we bought online. When we asked if we can meet them inside and exchange phone numbers to communicate and meet up, she flat out refused to help or cooperate with us and told us we were kicked off the tour. She was generally rude and unpleasant to us. We also arranged transportation for this 7 hour trip that cost us 280 euros. We appreciate the refund they gave us but are very disappointed because this could have easily been avoided if the communication and cooperation was better. We did receive a email about the new location five minutes prior to the start of the tour, after we were already waiting in the original spot. When we complained about the lack of communication, they claimed we gave them wrong contact information, which is not true because they did contact us. Don’t book. Awful experience and unwilling to cooperate or accommodate. If you read the other sub-5 star reviews, you can see how defensive and rude Giuseppe sounds. I can’t recommend you avoid this experience enough

We run this tour on a daily basis, twice a day, with 12 people total per day, I believe we never had any issue with the meeting point, actually in some reviews people also mention how clear our instructions are, the same instructions you received and I do not understand how you end up on the other side of the meeting spot. I do not know, I wasn't there but I hardly believe so knowing her. I would like also to bring attention to the fact that if we made a mistake about the meeting point on the voucher how did the rest of the group get there in time with the right ticket and meet extremely easy the guide? "We appreciate the refund they gave us but are very disappointed because this could have easily been avoided if the communication and cooperation had been better. " You put the wrong number on the reseravation, which I tried to call with no success, in fact I have the call log that when you realized you probably mixed up you called me from another number. When You called me you asked me "Giuseppe can we get a refund?" I asked what happened, you gave me your "version of what happened" I felt bad because I'm a traveler myself and the way you described it looked bad from our side and I didn't want to call Theresa to give me her side as well cause she was busy running the tour so I did what an honest person would do, I issued a full refund straight away, even if I didn't have to and without even waiting to hear from Theresa, it's quite sad you decided anyway to leave a 1-star review, but I believe this whole review is self-explanatory to everyone. "If you read the other sub-5 star reviews, you can see how defensive and rude Giuseppe sounds." This is the only point of the review that gave me discomfort, people can call me whatever names I do not care about, but calling me rude quite bothers me a lot. In 5 years that I've been face to face with people all over the world this is the first time it ever happens, I actually went back and red again my replies to some other reviews and I do not see anywhere an answer where I do sound rude, you didn't even got to meet in me in person and you are calling me rude so quickly? Quite unfair, dishonest and low, we only got to talk over the phone, actually whatsapp, I wish I could attach the screnshoot of the conversations, at any point I'm talking rude, aggressive or bad, I was raised with manners, I was raised to not judge people easily and to be kind, these are the three morals I live by, I believe you should make them yours too. Last thing I would like to bring up is "How a rude person like me would issue a full refund without questioning anything? " I should to stop it here to make this reply look as professional as can be but I'm italian and I love what I do, so I will add what my grandmother used to say " Money makes the person rich, but it's the manners that makes him quite the man." Great experience in Pompeii

The trip was very well organised our Pompeii guide Theresa was very professional/clear and made it fun recreating the feeling as if you was there. After a 2 hour tour, we where met swiftly to go up in the mountains where we was well looked after with food and drink. The horse riding was great fun and easy for beginners we rode around the vineyards taking in the views. I was concerned as some horses looked thin but was told they was rescued and had stomach problems.

Ciao Amanda, This is Giuseppe, Thanks a lot for your beautiful review, regarding some horses looking thin you are referring to Luke, our rescued off-the-track horse English-arab thoroughbred , and Claire, which was being treated for worms due to an infection of her intestine. Being Arab and English blood they are way more slim than a Quarter Horse or Appalosa or any other horses that you might be used to in America, so when situations like worms happen it's more visible than other breeds since by morphology they are not as bulky and chunky as other breeds. I'm glad you created awareness, I'm happy you care about animals and it's always important to keep an eye on the condition of the animals when we are doing a tour overseas.
