Amazing bike ride in Portland
Drew_S, Oct 2023
Dan did an amazing job with taking us on a bike ride through Portland. We were extremely lucky to have sunny and warm weather to even make it an better experience. We saw a good amount of lighthouses and the lobster rolls we had were the best we had all trip. Bike ride ended up being around 16 miles. Bikes were very easy to ride throughout the day. This is a great tour to do to get a perspective of what Portland Maine is… historically and currently!
Simply Wonderful

The bike tour was a great way to get a little exercise, see picturesque lighthouses and enjoy the best lobster roll we had on our whole trip. It helped that our weather was perfect with sunny skies and light winds. Our tour guide McKenzie made the whole tour come together with her knowledge of the area and her patience with riders of all skill levels. Dress in layers, come with a good attitude, and be prepared for a great 4-5 hour tour.
Smooth cycling!

Wendy was a fantastic guide. My husband and I were very lucky to have our own “private” tour with Wendy. She has very knowledgeable, friendly and easy going. I highly recommend this tour to see the area without getting in and off a bus! We also were very fortunate to have perfect weather too!
Great way to spend a day in Portland

Wendy and Rick (our guides) were fun, thoughtful and knowledgeable. They made sure we all had a great time. They picked a beautiful spot for our delicious group lunch. There were enough stops and bathroom breaks to make the ride very comfortable for even an inexperienced biker!
Fun ride good eats

Fun way to see some lighthouses, beautiful coastal homes and views and learn a little Portland history along the way. The lobster rolls from the food truck were amazing. Wendy was a great guide. The pace was comfortable even on a very hot day in July.

Tour guides were amazing giving lots of history. Ride was wonderful. Great views. We have great pictures. The lobster roll was the best we’ve ever had.
Amazing scenery with a sore butt
Jim_G, Jun 2021
Great ride with amazing views. Should have on your web site that lots of water is needed and the bike seats are hard for 16 miles.
Great experience

The guides were knowledgeable and personable and helpful. The biking and sites were beautiful. Tom and Mackenzie are top notch!
Sweet guides but could be improved
Lauren_M, Jun 2021
Very kind, accommodating guides! That said, they seemed a bit inexperienced and lacked command of the tour. Upon arrival, our bikes were mixed up (no worries) and the guides tried to roll with it until we insisted that we needed to take the time to get the best fit for each rider. In addition, mid 90s weather needs to be factored in to the 16 mile trip (unusually hot day!) Simply asking, “does everyone have water?” Is not safe or adequate. Water should be carried. Or water fountains on route to refill. Water was purchased for us if requested. Again, when there is a hot spell, hydration needs to be prioritized. Time/flow could be improved/tightened up. We waited for 20 minutes for our lunch while we could have been exploring the lighthouse. After lunch, which was excellent, we explored. Then, pictures, then restrooms. Again, on such a hot day, efficiency needs to be considered even if that means ending the tour a bit early. Overall, it was a good experience but I wanted it to be excellent. Obviously you can’t control the weather but the guides should be prepared to modify accordingly.

Aaron was the best tour guide!! He came prepared with water bottles and gloves for everyone. Plus, the bikes were preset for everyone’s heights. We got a phenomenal tour of the highlights of Portland’s lighthouses. The lobster roll was the best I’ve ever had. Decent workout too! The group was small and the pandemic precautions were perfect. Thank you!! I will definitely recommend this tour to friends and other travelers.
