The Douro Valley is quite far away from Porto, and unless you rent a car it could be hard to visit the area. Opt instead for this Douro Valley small-group tour that’s limited to eight people. The trip was phenomenal. Our guide (Leonardo) was so knowledgeable, passionate, and personable. He was intentional about showing us experiences that are a bit "off the beaten path" which made the whole experience less "touristy" and much more culturally fulfilling. The lunch was an incredible home-cooked meal at a location with regional significance and rich history. I would recommend this trip to anyone who is looking for an immersive day in the valley.

We had the best time exploring Duoro Valley! We had Carlos and he made the experience so fun for our group and it was so nice to hear about the history and facts about the valley and port wine. When we come back to Porto we would 100% do this tour again!

This was an amazing trip! Leo (the one with the glasses) was an amazing and friendly tour guide! He made us feel very welcomed and stopped at the best spots for us to take foto’s. The group size was also very small so that was perfect. I would recommend this tour 100% to anyone that wants to explore the Douro Valley.

If you are looking for a small group tour, this is it! João was our driver/guide and he was so knowledgeable, personable, and down to earth. The vineyards we visited were unique and steeped in history - and the wines and food were amazing. The boat ride was the cherry on top, with more snacks and drinks offered. A truly unforgettable experience and one of the best ways to see the beautiful Duoro Valley.

The most memorable parts of our wine country tour was the beautiful scenery we enjoyed. We had a wonderful tour guide , Rita, who was an excellent driver. Since she was a native of the area, she had many interesting stories to tell. We enjoyed the fact that the wineries we visited were smaller and more intimate. The people on our tour were friendly.

One of the best tours we have ever experienced. Our guide Leandro (Leo) was superb, very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and flexible. The valley is beautiful , the wineries we visited and lunch were all great. The boat trip down the river topped off a fabulous day. Do yourself a favour and book this tour. You will not be sorry!

Hands down the best thing I did while in Porto. I would recommend this tour to anyone! Everyone was so nice and helpful. They accommodated my food restrictions and still prepared me a traditional Portuguese lunch. Our tour guide eventually became our friend giving us so many recommendations of stuff to do and eat while in Porto and Lisbon. I want to go back and do it again!

This tour was just wonderful for so many reasons: (1) It was a small group. (2) It was beautiful, fun, relaxing, informative. We toured two wineries where we tried some exellent wine and port. We had lunch at the second winery (can't remember the name) and it was super good/authentic. Then we did a boat tour with more...FOOD and WINE. (Don't make the same mistake I did by eating a big breakfast.) (3) Leo our guide was fantistic. Very enjoyable spending our day with him. You know it's a good company when the employees (Leo, the captain of the boat and the guide on the boat) all say good things about the owners. HIGHLY recommend this tour.
