What To Expect

Begin your evening with a pickup from your central Prague hotel, and travel to the venue by comfortable, air-conditioned minivan.

On arrival, head inside the medieval pub that will play host to your evening. Set just below Prague Castle, the pub dates to the 14th century, so soak in the authentic atmosphere as you take a seat at your table.

Be served by staff in rich medieval costume, and dig into a hearty 3-course dinner of dishes inspired by Prague’s history. Your meal includes two drinks of your choice from the selection of beer, wine, sodas, and coffee.

As you eat, drink, and relax, enjoy a string of colorful live entertainments inspired by the Middle Ages. Be swept up by brilliant fire, juggling, and swordplay shows, and enjoy foot-tapping folkloric dancing displays, all set to historical music. Expect a few surprises, too, including a very un-traditional element, and an unknown medieval language!

Drink in the merry-making, and after the dinner and show, relax on your ride back to your hotel, where a drop-off concludes your experience.

A bit meh

The tavern was very dark and medieval but the event was a bit meh. Food not great and the tavern is split into about 3 separate rooms so the entertainment had to be repeated 3 times! We were in the second room so could hear what was happening in the first room, then it was our turn before it moved to the downstairs room. It would have been better to have the entertainment after the food and all in one room.

Nice evening, entertainment was good. Good wasn’t the best - ate very little. Other similar shows in the Old Town with unlimited drinks although not sure of the cost. Great for the entertainment but not so much as a meal

The driver never showed up to take us back to hotel, a large reason I chose this "tour." The service was disorganized and slow. The food was less than mediocre and I felt like I was "imposing" by being there with my 12 year old sons.

The venue was poor. One cannot conjure and atmosphere by switching off the light and lighting 2 candles. Patrons were spread around 2 or 3 rooms so that the performers (belly dancers, jugglers and flame swallowers) had to repeat their mediocre tricks 2 or 3 times. The food was quite good, especially the main meat dishes. The desert was abysmal. Not much of a choice for drinks. The transport was good.

We saved this for our last night and were mostly disappointed. Three hours was WAY TOO LONG. Two hours would have been plenty. The food was above average. The service was on the slow side. Each group had their own table. This would have been much better if the whole crowd sat around one table and you could get to know one another. The entertainment, especially the juggler was very good.

It was a great experience, especially the show. I believe it was a bit expensive as the hotel we stayed at also provided us with a brochure for a medieval dinner and show that was 5 course meal with unlimited drinks, whereas this tour was 3 course only, food was ok but not great and you could only receive 2 drinks per person. In comparison to similar offerings available I think it was over priced. If I did not pre-booked this tour I would have opted for the same experience from the brochure provided from the hotel.

I received a call from the company on the same day to confirm that the driver will pick me up from hotel's lobby at 19:30, however the driver came at 18:50 saying that the show will start at 19:00. While in reality the show is PLANNED to start at 20:00 Apparently I didn't need a pick up because the restaurant was 20-30 meters away from my hotel :D The food was nice and show was very entertaining but has NOTHING to do with HISTORY: it's a musical show with belly dancers.

I would NOT recommend this. The pub is worth seeing but this you can do any time. It is not a venue dedicated to the event, it is just a pub. Therefore there is a menu but once you have pre-booked and pre-paid you are not entitled to any of it. The waitresses were like scared to come close to us in case we ask for something extra. They dumped a plate with ribs and ran away. There was an argument whether we were entitled to 1 drink or 2, whether these could be 2 different of 2 of the same kind. The entertainment was not entertaining at all. In brief very disappointed, could not wait for the taxi to come and pick us up, we actually went out and waited in the street no matter it was snowing.

This food tour experience was just perfect for our quick visit in Prague! Because it gives you an amazing idea of the Czech food culture! We were overwhelmed by the presentations during our dinner experience (dancing, jingling, sword fights, fire acts). Not to mention, there is a cozy medieval atmosphere that makes you feel in the old era! We loved it! The food was super tasty, the house wine and the ginger bread is a must though, yumiii! Super recommend it

Good communication re hotel pick-up but we were very early and had a long wait to get into the restaurant which was effectively decorated in medieval style. As a solo traveller, my only disappointment was to be sat by myself at a very tiny table and although it was right at the front the show players 'travel' around the very large room and it was difficult to see some of the acts which took place off the stage. The music and musicians were very good and the food was fine with wine included.

Bit disappointing. Didnt know medieval times had belly dancers and bagpipes!food choices were limited and the service was average. Oh well at least all the dancing girls in harem dress and bellys showing were a good distraction from the confounded bagpipe player who played on every music track .if you love bagpipes its a must . Alas you are not going to get AC/DC type bagpipes! The ambiance of the place promised so much. But in affect didnt live up to its hype
