Overview

If you want an alternative view of life under the sea, consider this paddling adventure aboard a transparent kayak. You'll spot all sorts of marine creatures as you make your way around Mangrove Cay, such as turtles, stingrays, and even small sharks. You'll also get the chance to learn about some of the other creatures that call the cay home, including rock iguanas and a wide variety of birds.

    Cancellation Policy

    You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

    • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
    • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
    • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
    • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
    • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

    This was our first time trying this and we enjoyed it! Our guide was great at making sure we got to see turtles, sting rays, sharks, birds, and iguanas. The scenery going along the canal areas that run through the Mangroves Islamd was beautiful.

    One of the best tours we have ever done! We could not believe how many turtles we saw and how close we were able to get. Our guide, Mikie, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, funny and he even took great pictures of our family for us. I would recommend this tour to anyone, regardless of age.

    We loved having Daniel as our guide. He goes by Pelican eyes! He pointed out sharks, turtles, jellyfish, iguanas, and conch. Great fun and would recommend! Early morning is the way to go!

    We saw lots of hawkbill turtles, lemon shark and sting ray. An enjoyable time seeing the mangroves and visiting the rock iguanas. Mikey was a great guide!

    Great excursion with kids

    We highly recommend this excursion! Mikey was an energetic and informative guide, who was great with our young kids (5 and 7yr olds). The mangroves were beautiful and calm, and Mikey actively searched for unique features and sea creatures to point out: we saw many sea turtles and sharks! The operation ran smoothly from hotel pickup to the boat launch, to equipment and all the way back. They even have dry bags to borrow for your stuff (leave towels in the shuttle). Don't be worried if they start the journey by tethering your groups kayaks together and stringing them to a journey. They are hauling you about a mile across the harbor and past the $100M yachts to get to the entrance to the mangroves -- from there you are paddling free and clear. Beautiful sights, great value.

    Operator priority is money NOT safety. Winds blowing 25-30 mph with swells in bay 2-3 ft. Don't trust your safety to this operator

    Hello Dale, We have been in operation for over four years and have always prioritize our guests' safety. We do not appreciate the fact you are trying to tarnish our reputation. You were booked for a tour and you decided to cancel because it was choppy at your hotel. The fact that it was choppy at your hotel, does not necessarily means it was choppy at our location. We are very knowledgeable about the local weather pattern and the island. Given that we operate in a bay and its location, we were not affected by the wind like Grace Bay. We tried explaining this to you over the phone but being the expert that you are, you did not take heed and cancel. All other guests went on tour and it was incident free and safe.

    Seeing the turtles, shark and the conch. Our tour guide was amazing. We were able to get out iguana Island and take a trail around and see numerous iguanas and learn about their habitat.

    Did not see much. Saw a few turtles and a few small sharks. Not worth the money paid. That said, the Tour Guide (Daniel) was good.

    This tour was very disorganized-the weather was windy and some of our group decided to cancel after the tour began so we were left alone to wait for another guide-in the mangrove. Then it wasn’t clear who our guide was or what group to go with. Once a guide was established after a lot of confusion the tour was fine. I have been on several kayaking tours and this would not be one I would recommend

    Miracle took very good care of us as a small group. He was loaded with interesting info and fun/funny. We had the 3 hr with a stop to see iguanas. Saw lots of turtles, got a quick dip and a nice ride back across the channel when the tour concluded. We did the AM trip which gave us the afternoon to do more snorkeling. Best day of our trip.
