Overview

See the bioluminescence of glow worms on this sunset cruise from Providenciales in Turks and Caicos. Following the full moon every month, the waters of Caicos Bank, the sea south of Providenciales and Caicos, experience a unique natural phenomenon when the glow worms (odontosyllis enopla) emit pulses of green light during their spawning cycle, lighting up the shallow waters. Also, enjoy refreshments and light bites while aboard the cruise.

It was cool to see and learn about glow worms, the crew tried their best but it was very windy and a very rough boat ride coming back to the dock. A lot of money to spend if it’s not good weather to be on a boat.

Our three guides were very fun and entertaining. While the glowworms were not the most fun part of the trip, we did see them. The atmosphere on the boat was high energy and fun. It was very family friendly.

Its best to go into this trip with 4 different things to enjoy: Sailing, Sunset Cruise, Glow Worms, and Stargazing. Since the glow worms are unpredictable, I have to assume experiences will vary drastically there. Our specific trip did see a few, but it wasn't many. When all the lights are off and its incredibly dark, the real experience is upwards. We stopped looking for worms and couldn't take our eyes off the sky and the STARs. Wow. That made it worth the trip alone. Music, drinks, sailing, sunset, worms, stargazing, etc. Captain Tony and his crew were great. (He was our captain for a snorkeling trip the day before, so we felt like pros on the boat! Ocean Vibes is a great excursion company!)

Beautiful, but don’t expect many glow worms

It was a lot of fun, a really lovely time. The drinks were yummy and the snacks were a pleasant surprise (didn’t expect them to be so tasty). I will say, the glow worms weren’t really performing for us - we saw a handful of sparks here and there, but if you weren’t REALLY looking you probably wouldn’t even notice. However, the sunset was predictably gorgeous, and during the glow worms they turn off all the lights, and the night sky was, to me, worth the cost of admission. Breathtaking star gazing. It’s a fun, very chill tour if you’re looking for something different than a party boat.

Excellent, fun crew. Sunset sail was beautiful. Not a lot of glow worms but they were there and very cool to see. We appreciated the free flowing drinks (including bottled water and name brand soft drinks). Food was tasty. Music selection perfect. We left the excursion wanting to do it again!

Cancelled last second!

Cancelled last second after my whole family was at the pickup location waiting! The weather was nice and the reason for cancelling was purely on their end. Communication about the cancellation came only after our scheduled pickup time has passed and we were waiting. Luckily I had my phone and saw the message when it came in and I let the others know who were also waiting for the excision. It was cancelled seemingly with very little care or sincerity. I would not book anything with this company again.

Firstly I will apologise for the disappointment, but what you failed to mention in the review was that the cancellation was due to a mechanical issue. Mechanical issues never happen when it’s convenient for us which then turns into an inconvenience and disappointment for you, our guests. As you mentioned, this was at the time you were due to be picked up as the issue occurred as the boat was coming to you. We sent an immediate email and sms so that guests waiting on the beach were immediately informed and then the office reached out by phone, where possible to each guest. Full refunds were then issued. This was a very unfortunate incident but not something we could have predicted or prevented. Again on behalf of our company I sincerely apologise for your disappointment and hope you enjoyed the rest of your Turks and Caicos experience.

The sunset cruise was so much fun! The bar had a good variety and the appetizers were great. Unfortunately, it was cloudy so the sunset wasn’t much to see but the glow worms made up for it! It was amazing to see them in action and all of the glowing worms made the water beautiful. The captain and crew were so nice and helpful. This was my favorite activity of the trip!
