Our meeting location is the tourist/police module right in front of the entrance of the Benito Juarez Market (parking lot), across the road from Elektra store (the market is known as simply El Mercado).

This tour was fantastic! We recommended it to multiple people we met on the trip. There was drfiiitely more walking than anticipated, but learning so much about different cultural food was worth every step. Indra was so informative and fun!

If new to the area, this tour is a must and very worth it. Indra was awesome!! Not only was the tour about food but the rich and beautiful history of Puerto Escondido.
You’ll be having all of the classic dishes that this part of Oaxaca is known for, even mole. One thing I’ll say, be ready to eat and eat well!

Great crash course to Puerto history and food culture.
However, considering stops at the market and restaurants visited, the tour is a bit overpriced.

Loved the tour. One of the best we’ve taken. Guide is so nice and knowledgeable. Food you can’t find on your own at traditional family businesses. Would definitely do again. We’ll done!

We enjoyed all of this experience. The time flew by as Melena took us to various vendors and restaurants to experience new flavors and learn about different customs of the Oaxacan people. She was very knowledgeable about the area and gastronomy. She was also so much fun! We were fortunate to do this tour with like minded people who were foodies and adventurous just like us!

The food and drinks were great. Sofia was a great host with an infectious laugh. We visited places that we likely wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. Absolutely worth the money.
