Overall a pleasant day

Not so much of a safari as a nice day out to Yelapa and Pizote. Angel was a really fun and charming guide. The lunch was wonderful and the beach at Pizote was relaxing and beautiful. Horseback riding was just a short trip through Yelapa. The hike was a short walk to a Yelapa waterfall that is mostly dry this time of year. Snorkeling area was murky so we couldn't really see fish.

This was a really fun experience! You get a little bit of everything. Horseback riding, hiking to a waterfall, snorkeling, hanging out at the beach, and a really great lunch. What I'm about to say is NOT a complaint about the tour company or the experience; it's a complaint about Trip Advisor/Viator. I agree with other reviewers that say that this experience is described in a very misleading way online. Based on the current description of this activity, I thought this was mostly horseback riding. It's not. There are several activities in one day. I wouldn't have known about the snorkeling if I hadn't read the reviews. If anything Trip Advisor/Viator is underselling the experience. It was really fun!! I am just glad I read the reviews so I knew what to expect and what to bring.

Unbelievable experience!

If you want to be treated like family and go on an adventure that includes a 40mph boat ride to a beautiful Mexican town only accessible by boat, tour Yalapa on horseback to a beautiful waterfall and get a guided tour thru the town back to the boat to relax on the beach this tour is for you! And that is only half the tour! The second half is a boat ride back north to their private area, and includes snorkeling, a delicious lunch, and beach time. The guides treat you like family and make you feel safe the entire tour. They also make it unbelievably fun and exciting throughout the entire time. Unbelievable adventure for active adults. I must give a special heart felt grateful thank you to one member of the team who we are truly grateful and thankful for...MEMO was absolutely, positively, amazing. He was the photographer and tour guide and I told him during the tour I was going to ask D to marry me, and from that moment he created a truly special day and captured every moment of it. We can not thank MEMO, Angel, and Jesus for taking care of us and treating us beyond our expectations, like family. Absolutely horrendous experience, Viator describe the experience as horse riding and beach break, this is far from the truth, the tour itself is a sea safari, which includes an unsafe and poorly controlled speed boat ride, a walk up a very steep hill for 20 min, having to jump out of boats into the ocean and swim to shore for your lunch and dinner, and on top of this an unsafe team that put members of the tour in danger, boat mooring problem caused a large section of the boat to ricachete off and hit my fathers leg at full force, causing a serious knee injury which now requires surgery to correct. AVOID at all Costs

Be prepared for two things with Vallarta adventures: they are adventures so no drinks with umbrellas served by waiters on verandas, and they can be shore excursions for cruise ships so they do things like clockwork. We liked both. The bay is calm so the boat ride is part of the adventure. Instructions are clear. When we got to the first stop our snorkel gear was at our feet, quick briefing, into the water and plenty of fish being fed from the boat. 30 minutes, towels for all, off to the fishing village. Isolated and accessible only by sea, this community cares for itself and lives well. The sea and the forest provide all you need plus electricity for your satellite dish. The horses and mules know where they're going, so no great skill involved. Another boat ride and the private beach. No piers yet, so you board and debark in the water with plenty of help from the crew. The food was fantastic and plentiful with time for kayak or SUP, then the ride back to the city. Note: if you leave from the cruise ship docks, you leave 30 minutes after the main office.

Wonderful experience.. our guides were friendly, knowledgable and personal. Best time to go early in the morning, the trip takes about 6-7 hrs so keep in mind the sun and humidity, there is a lot vegetation, so be mindful of Mosquitos. Otherwise, I had a wonderful time.

The boat ride was fun, the snorkeling was very good, the horseback riding was fun, but very dusty with very narrow little canyons you had to ride through. The waterfall stop was nice, the beach was beautiful but it was too rough to kayak or paddleboard. Lunch was very good, open bar was nice. Fun day.

We had such a good time on this tour. The horses were matched to each individual, as I found out by my horse, who wanted to be in the lead! The snorkeling was fun and so was traveling by boat to different areas of the islands. The lunch was good and we were able to go kayaking in the ocean! A totally fun day.

Very fun tour! I would take this tour again if I had the chance. There is a small cafe with tables overlooking the waterfall and after our swim we sat and had chips, guacamole and a drink. It was so beautiful! I could have sat there for hours. I'd recommend bringing some cash to tip the local people such as the guides that work with the horses or those that welcome you on the beach. One man had an iguana for us to hold and we took pictures. I wished I'd had some cash to give him. Also, water shoes are a great choice for footwear.
