The Uros Islands and Taquile Island are both beautiful, but I wouldn't recommend booking with this company. Communication and organisation was quite poor and the tour guides weren't very friendly or engaging, so I would say the trip is overpriced for what we got in return - especially as you are urged to buy things on the islands to support the local community.
- We were told to meet the group at the port at 7:15, but the group arrived at 7:45. There was a lady at the port who told us our group's bus would be a bit late, but there was no communication about how long and we received no messages from the company on Whatsapp etc. about this so we were just hanging around feeling a bit confused for half an hour.
- When the group arrived no one introduced themselves to us or did a register to tell us what group we were in. There was more than 40 people overall so it was quite hectic. After 30 mins on the boat no one had introduced us to our guide yet, and different groups were getting off the boat at different stops so we needed to know - we had to ask each guide to find our group. It all felt quite unfriendly and unorganised.
- The tour guides were not very engaging throughout the day. They asked our names about 5 times throughout the day and made no effort to remember or chat to us. They didn't wait around for everyone on the islands so it was up to us to be careful not to lose them when they moved on - at one point our group walked off and we didn't notice until another member of our group came back for us!
With tours like this, a guide can often make or break the day, and we felt like the guides were not interested in building a relationship or sharing their knowledge.
- A lot of the day was spent travelling between the islands (30 mins to Uros, 1.5 hours to Taquile and 2 hours back from Taquile). I would have preferred to spend longer on the Uros islands, engaging with the community and doing activities there rather than spending the day on a boat.
- You are expected to buy things from the Uros islands and give tips on numerous occasions throughout the day (so bring cash!) We were happy to do this as we wanted to support the local communities and families who were sharing their culture with us, but given that we had paid quite a lot for the tour it felt like added extra costs which should have been covered in the original price (or the price for the tour should be much cheaper to account for this?)
- The food at the restaurant was quite nice and the views were beautiful, but portions were quite small and water/soft drinks were not included.

Amazing visit to the Uros floating islands which was a unique experience. Walking on the island was very wobbly and the overview of the building of the islands was very interesting. We had a fun ride on one of their boats made of reeds.
The journey to Tequile island was beautiful and after a lovely walk around the island, we had a delicious lunch.

The guide’s English and Spanish was excellent, he was knowledgeable; the trip was well organised and while at points there was some slightly contrived touristy moments - overall - this felt like an amazing exploration of local cultures, in a way that aided rather than harmed their communities; also, the views of the Lake on the - incredibly safe, clean and pleasant - boat were breathtaking.
You should book.

A fun way to learn about Lake Titicaca whilst visiting the Uros and Taquille. Overall the experience was great but would have been better with a smaller group size. Transfers collected us from hotel; minibus had too many people so 2 people had to stand whilst it was driving (very dangerous). On the boat we were put with a total tour size of 50+ people (something which was not mentioned when booking). 1st stop Uros was cool; but make sure to take cash as there is pressure to buy things from the local people.
Second stop Taquille was my favourite. Gorgeous island with incredible views of the lake - lots of picture opportunities. Lunch was included here but what was not mentioned was that we would have to walk approximately 50 mins uphill (with a break to watch the locals dance whilst on the way) from the boat to the restaurant. Toilets all cost money so make sure to use the toilets on the boat before getting off (this was not advised by the guide but he also said that we would only take 20 mins to walk to the restaurant…)
We arrived at the restaurant an hour after leaving the boat (as the group was massive, we were only as fast as our slowest member). Started quinoa soup, mains was either trout or omelette - food was average, no salt or pepper available on the tables either. Arrived back at 4;45 (almost an hour after the advertised time). Overall a good experience but would recommend a smaller boat/group size.

The Uros Islands were very good. The way of life of these people was something to learn! The Taquillle island was good with natural beauty, but not so enriching! The guide was good and the facilities were fine.

It was really interesting meeting Uros people and culture. Different from what we are used to, but very fun experience. Taquile island is not a must to check, but lunch was really really good.

Great tour. You get picked up and dropped off at hotel. Quite a big boat and Carlos was our English guide. Lovely meeting the tribe on the lake and going on their boats. It was a really hot sunny day but you still need a coat for later the lunch on the second island was good. Nice bunch of people. Worth getting to puno for.

Our tour guide Fausto was so knowledgeable about the culture of Uros and Taquile, as well as the surrounding land and lake, it really made for a well rounded experience along with meeting the people of each tribe. I would highly recommend this trip!
