Overview

This small-group tour is a Champagne lover’s dream that includes a minivan to drive you between spread-out attractions. Drive by the UNESCO-listed Reims Cathedral, and then have a tour and tasting at the Veuve Cliquot cellars (can be replaced with a similar house if not available). Then, visit the village of Hautvillers, where Dom Perignon is buried, and end with a tour, tasting, and lunch at a small producer.

      We highly recommend this tour if you are just in the region for a few days. It covers all the bases-large domain, small family growers and a fabulous lunch in the countryside. Jerome was an excellent guide - really informative and clearly very passionate about Champagne - the region and the product.

      Viator steals money

      Stay FAR AWAY!! Viator as a company plays too many games and not the good kind. Their tour provider would not answer any of the 30 phone calls we made prior to the start of the tour and when we called customer service they were useless. First rep kept us on the phone for 30 minutes and kept saying he was “looking for a supervisor” when we asked to speak to one and the supervisor finally gets on and told us the best he could do was send them an email. Because of Viator’s horrible customer service and incompetence, we lost out on a very expensive trip with no refund. SHAME ON Viator!!!

      Wonderful day in the champagne region (Reims) visiting Veuve Clicquot, Le Clos Corbier and other family growers. Great host (Thomas) throughout the full day - he was very knowledge of the area, the wineries and champagne process. We recommend this excursion due to small group size, host and champagne stops.

      What a wonderful way to spend a day and learn about the Champagne region of France. Our experience was unparalleled. Susan our tour guide was honestly the best part of the tour. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about the area as well as the champagne we were tasting, but she was so friendly and kind. Her personality and genuine passion made this an unforgettable experience. We are so happy we chose this tour and will recommend to as many people as we can. I can't speak more highly about our entire experience. We even booked another tour in Bordeaux with the same company because of Susan. We can not wait! Thank you!

      Great fun trip, our guide , Jerne? (Sorry for incorrect spelling) was awesome. Knowledgeable and informative. Learnt heaps about champagne from production to appreciation which made consumption even more pleasurable. Lunch was good, Certainly they didn’t skimp on champagne quality or tasting size! Even my champagne guzzling wife was “champagne out” by end of day

      We toured on 10/12/23. Our tour guide was outstanding. She was early for pickup, introduced everyone in the group to one another, provided a ton of insight and history throughout the tour, was very patient with us shopping, and gave great advice for traveling France in general. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the tour, from seeing a massive champagne plant like Veuve Clicquot to a small family-owned one. The van was comfortable with great air conditioning. Several stops between champagne visits for great scenery and history. Definitely recommend!

      Veuve Clicquot tour was the highlight, very interesting caves tour. Anne our tour guide was great with knowledge and history of the region, made interesting context to some stops I would have passed over. Quite an excy tour for what was offered, would look at doing something different next time.

      It was a fabulous tour! Our guide Suzanne was so friendly and professional, and very knowledgeable! The Veuve Cliquot tour was really cool and definitely had the ‘wow’ factor and generous tastings. On the other hand it was fantastic to see the countryside from the mini van and to see the small villages. The family producers were great to see too, and the lunch was rustic but delicious! My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day! We definitely recommend this tour.

      All day experience was fantastic! Martin was very knowledgeable. The Veuve Clicquot portion was the best! Lots of great information. We had glorious weather (albeit a little warm) and enjoyed the entire day. Highly recommend this tour!

      Great tour! The meeting point was super convenient, right next to the train station. Our guide, Carla, was punctual, super knowledgeable and attentive. Lots of photo opportunities, good food and champagne throughout the entire day. Highly recommended :-)

      Lunch was enjoyable especially after several tasting. Lucky that people in our group was fantastic, nice bunch of people. Veuve Cliquot visit was memorable though didn’t quite hear the guide clearly. Visits to small growers were good too to get a feel of different types of growers and champagne styles. We were loaded with alcohol right from start of trip.

      What an amazing experience. The day was just perfect. Our tour started out the veuve clicquot champagne house followed by lots of stops with very informative and interesting information being imparted by our lovely tour guide. The lunch was fantastic and tasty with more champagne tasting. Worth the experience and would do it all again!

      Started badly as guide didn't turn up but the company got us a taxi to Veuve and our guide met us later on. We did miss 10 minutes of the Veuve tour though which is annoying. Our guide we eventually got was great and the day filled with lots of facts and tastings. Lunch was really good, the smaller houses we visited were OK but their wines not to my taste (then again, everyone differs in taste). I would recommend the tour to people as it was a great day out.
