We’d booked this tour because we’d read some glowing reviews and seen some awesome pictures taken by fellow-travellers. Our own tour of Rhodes did not disappoint. From the moment I made my inquiries to Dimitra, to the moment we said goodbye to our tour guide, Diana, I knew we were in good hands. At first I thought the itinerary sounded a bit heavy to us. But once I asked Dimitra several questions, all my concerns were gone. The wine tasting was a highlight, time spent in that village was especially enjoyable. The coach was clean and comfortable, and our driver was very good. The only thing I could have wished for was a longer time in Rhodes. Next time we will come by air and stay for a week at least, visiting by the cruise ship was more of a tasting of different Greek isles.

Guide good and knowledgeable but disappointing tour over all.
Lina_H, Oct 2023
Diana our guide was good and knowledgeable but the wine and olive oil tasting was a massive disappointment. Just 3 wines - white, rosa, and red. And just one olive oil which the waiter didn't tell us anything about it. Pottery place was good but extremely expensive.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your kind words about your guide. We apologize for your less-than-satisfactory experience during the wine tasting at one of the Old Town's oldest and most popular restaurants. We regret that the waiter and sommelier didn't provide the level of information and service we aim to offer. This was due to our need to expedite them as your ship had an early departure that day. Regarding the ceramic workshop, our primary intention was to showcase the process to you, rather than to encourage purchases. However, for those interested in buying items, they had the opportunity to do so. It's worth noting that prices vary, starting at 3 Euros, depending on the size and intricacy of the artwork. If you happened to focus solely on the human-sized vase, we understand that it may have appeared expensive. Once again, we apologize for any disappointment you may have experienced, and we appreciate your understanding of the circumstances. We wish you safe travels!

This was a lovely itinerary with a lovely red bus that had aircon ( fantastic) our guide Johanna was superb, funny and efficient. I liked that the tour moved fast and we didn't linger for too long anywhere. Looking for something to do while in Rhodes this is a great day away from your hotel.

Rhodes + Lindos

Our guide was very articulate and wove an interesting presentation of history. She was very engaging.
Limnos walkathon
John_K, Jun 2023
When visiting Limnos, the guide should have told us that there was a shuttle available to go into the town.
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thank you for your feedback. I believe you were referring to Lindos village instead of Limnos town. We apologize for not informing you about the availability of the shuttle service as an alternative to the 5-minute walk into the village. Typically, we offer the shuttle service to elder tour participants or individuals with limited walking abilities. Since you didn't fall into either of these categories, we neglected to provide you with this information. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. We hope that despite this oversight, you enjoyed the remainder of your experience in Rhodes. If there's anything else we can assist you with, please don't hesitate to let us know. Best regards from sunny Greece!
We’ll come back.

Jessica, we are delighted to hear that your tour of Rhodes met your expectations and even exceeded them. It's encouraging to know that Dimitra and Diana took good care of you and alleviated your concerns about the itinerary. I'm glad that the wine tasting and the village visit were highlights of your trip, and it's great to hear that the coach was clean and comfortable, with a competent driver. Your feedback about wishing for a longer stay in Rhodes is noted. We hope to see you back soon, preferably for a week-long stay. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
Great tour and friendly guide.
Kent_B, Nov 2022
Tour guide was excellent and met us at the ship. Because we were there in late November, several stores were closed.
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thank you for your review. We're glad to hear you had an excellent experience with our tour guide. We understand your concern about the closed stores during your visit in late November. This happens as some businesses close during the off-peak season. We will consider this feedback in future scheduling and make sure to inform our guests about the seasonality of some businesses. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hosting you again in the future.
Avoid if possible not worth the expense
Alexis_D, Oct 2022
Great tour guide. Lovely experiences but the transportation was a nightmare. The coach was so cramped and not air-conditioned. If you are under five foot give it a go. This was a five hour tour and I was so uncomfortable whilst on the minibus it soured the whole trip. They cancelled my first booking because there weren't enough participants which is fair enough but then being treated like a sardine was not the value for money I expected. Final thought the lunch was a sweaty roll.
Response from Host, Nov 2022
Alexis, thank you for your time and kind words about great guide and lovely experiences. Telling you honestly we are very surprised to hear your criticism regarding transportation, it was the last model Mercedes Benz Sprinter 20 seater mini-bus. If new Mercedes Benz is not comfy enough we wonder what kind of transportation could have made you happier. Usually this kind of transportation doesn’t have any issues with A/C.That day wasn.t an exception, that’s why your complaint regarding A/C was the only one received from the group of 17 members. That is a bad sign, you might have some breathing or heart issues, we would recommend to check with your cardiologist ASAP. Or if you don’t have any health issues, but felt ‘being treated like a sardine’ in comfy Mercedes Benz and tasty Greek sandwich seemed to be a sweaty roll, we would highly recommend you to quit booking group tours, but start treating Your Majesty the proper way – booking only private VIP tours using limos and Michelin restaurants food. It was a pleasure for us to work with you. All the best regards from sunny Rhodes!
Excellent experience
Sandra_R, Oct 2022
The guide was professional and very kind. He is good English speaker and he has history education. We enjoyed very much. It’s not so difficult to climb to the Acropolis at Lindos, don’t miss that view. Viktoria sent me a message a day before the tour with all the details and she was very kind.
Excellent day trip
Sharon_J, Sep 2022
Our tour guide Joanna was excellent. She gave us a great history of the island while we were travelling on the coach. The coach was comfortable & had air conditioning & thank you to the driver Thomas too for a great trip. We walked up to the Acropolis where there were some amazing views at the top. There are lots of steps on the way up, we didn’t have to queue so we were lucky. Great local shops after you come down. The pottery demonstration was interesting & there is some amazing pottery to buy afterwards. I wish I had a bigger suitcase to bring it home! The olive oil & wine was tasty too! The wine tasting at the vineyard was good & we bought a bottle of our favourite wine at a good price afterwards but we wish we had bought a few more bottles as it was so nice! We went in the tunnel under the seven springs & that was a fun experience. The lunch which is a roll, banana & bottle of water was very tasty. The day trip was very good value for money & we would definitely do it again. There is quite a lot of walking & if you have mobility issues I do not think I would recommend Seven Springs as quite narrow in places. Great day trip!
Just ok but not worth it.
Brian_V, Sep 2022
The tour to Rhodes was not time efficient (for us cruisers) since we had to pick up 3 other families all over the island so by the time we got to Rhodes, we didn't have time to go to the fortress. Then when we got back to the port, we were able to be dropped off at the old city but the tour guide Vasilis (who was very nice) had to argue with the driver (who was rude) to bring us first rather than drop off all the other families again. They also made us buy bus shuttle tickets when it should have been included already.
Response from Host, Sep 2022
Brian, thank you for your time and review. I guess by ‘the tour to Rhodes’ you meant the tour to Lindos, because after picking up your party inside of the cruise port we picked up the other 6 members and went from Rhodes to Lindos. BTW we picked up all the mentioned members along the tour route and didn’t waste any time. That’s why we arrived in Lindos half an hour in advance all the big bus tours arranged by cruise lines. You had 2 hours to explore Lindos, usually this time is enough to visit Acropolis at least twice ( I guess you meant Acropolis by ‘the fortress’) that’s exactly why the other members of your group didn’t have any issues visiting it. After Lindos you have been to ceramic factory, Seven Springs, Petaloudes winery and were returned back to our small cruise port located right in front of the Old Town. Yes you were first dropped off not because your guide and driver argued, but because the other members came by air and didn’t have any time limit that day. The other members, saying nothing of our staff, didn’t mind you leaving first, because your cruise ship was departing in 1 and half hours and you needed some time to stroll and shop in the Old Town. Sorry that Vasilis and Kiriazis were arguing in Greek language, they didn’t discuss if they should drop you off first, it’s a golden rule that such priority belong to cruise passengers when time is an issue, they didn’t discuss prioirities but best routes for time saving. Kiriazis is nice too, he is just louder and more passionate when it's about tour routes and advices regarding them:-). As for bus shuttle tickets, I am afraid you messed up Rhodes with another port of call. Athens? We do not have any bus shuttles in our port just because it is too small, one can easily cross it by foot within 3 minutes. The distance between the port gate and the Old Town gate is 2 min by foot. There are no shuttle busses, trains, or flights working between these destinations. It’s ok usually cruise passengers visit too many ports and sights during their week cruise and mess up among them all. All the best regards from sunny Rhodes!

We did not go to all the stops. I dont know why. They have to update the website. However the tour guide, Ioanna, made it worth every penny.
Response from Host, Sep 2022
Thank you Andrea, sorry that day we had to skip Ktitinia because the cruise ship passengers had limited time in Rhodes. We updated tour itinerary and replaced it with a more interesting sight and less driving. Thank you for your feedback, it helped us made this tour better! All the best wishes from sunny Rhodes!

Kristiana_K, Jul 2022
First of all, we would like to thank you for this excursion. A great communication with Dimitra (she informed us about all of the details, answered to all our questions). We got interested in this tour because of it's title. In general tour was ok. The transport provided was really comfy, with AC. The tour guide we got was nice as well. But from some point we felt that the tour was too short even if it really ended around 15:00. It was a lot of driving and not so many objects. At out first stop - Lindos - we had 2 hours and we went to Acropolis with the tour guide but the queue was really long and we lose 1hour just for that. (It takes 20 minutes to go there from the car and 20min back). We expected to hear a little bit more from the guide about this gorgeous place. With Lindos you can decide by your own - to follow the guide to Acropolis or to walk around this beautiful place. Then we went to Seven Springs there we had 45 minutes. The place is not so big so in general time wise it is enough. Place was nice to see but we would not place it in our must see list. There we got our lunch boxes (0.5l water, one sandwich, one banana). Definetely, take some more food and water by your own. After Seven Springs we went to Winery there we had 30 minutes. Unfortunately we did not enjoyed this part at all. We wished to hear more about the grapes, olives, and all of the processes (growing, making wine and oil). It was just quick 4 wine tasting(2 white and 2 red ones), and one kind of olive oil tasting on a small cut pieces of bread. We have been at different Winery in Georgia, Kakheti before and this was not even close to that. It is written in the description that you can extend the tour with the Old City visitng but we got an impression that you can go there if you want with no guides (basically they can let you out near the Old City and you do all you want individually). Good part is that you are picked up from the hotel and also left back if you want so. The driver was driving safe!
Response from Host, Jul 2022
First of all, thank you for spending time to share your opinion about this tour on TripAdvisor. All feedback is of great assistance to us and we act upon it wherever possible. Thank you for your kind words about great communication, comfy bus and nice guide. Sorry that the tour seemed too short for you, we could make it longer than 6,5-7 hours, but there is one problem : it’s not only young and energetic people who book it, but aged members as well. Plus we work with cruise passengers who have to be back onboard about an hour in advance ship departure. Working with group tours we have to adjust timing to all the categories of our guests. As for those travellers who want to have longer tours and visit more places, we recommend to book our private tours that can be personalized especially for you. As for the amount of objects, you are right, we don’t have as many sights as Paris or Rome, and the distances between them take longer to drive, but we love our island and show it to our guests the way we see and love it. Yes we provide tasty Greek sandwich, fruit and water, that’s what we usually have for brief lunch here. But people come from all over the words and they are very different, one person needs just a snack while the other one used to enjoy a 5 meal course for lunch. Thank you but there is no need to take any food with you on this tour, if you feel hungry or thirsty you can simply eat/drink in Lindos, the choice is really wide out there, 7 Springs and winery offer food and beverages too. Thank you for your advice regarding oil, we have added Kalathos oil factory to this tour. Since July our guests have much wider choice of oil and honey to taste. As for wine tasting, it takes about an hour and presents 5 wines - 3 red and 2 white ones, it’s not a touristy wine shop, but a real winery & distillery, surrounded by big vineyard, they produce these wines. BTW it’s the only place in Rhodes authorised by the state to produce famous Souma/Tsipouro( Greek grappa). Sorry I have no idea of the amount of wines they offer in Georgia, Kakheti or Russia, but by the most wine tastings that I know consist of 5-7 wines. It has been found that most people’s palates will become fatigued after 6 tastes. A wine tasting flight should be no more than a glass of wine, if that much. Any more is a waste. The Old Town visit is optional and free, those guests who after the main part feel energetic enough to explore Medieval city, can stroll, dine, shop there as long as they want, then come back to their ship moored in 5 walk by foot or to their hotel/apartment by bus or cab. It was a pleasure to work with you. Best regards from sunny Rhodes!
Our delightful excursion
Megan_K, Apr 2022
Our tour of Rhodes was off to a fabulous start when our friendly guide Sofia and safe driver Michalis met 4 of us at the hotel. Guys made us feel like long-lost friends immediately! Our drive through the suburbs of Rhodes was the beginning of wonderful sights and learning the fascinating history of this beautiful, cultured island. The we visited these truly remarkable Rhodes sights: Seven Springs, Lindos, Monolithos, Embona, Kritinia In addition to the fabulous touring we did during the day, we were privileged to enjoy wine tasting in cosy Embona village. This company planned a delightful excursion that we will never forget and, a bonus: we made new Greek friends!
