Overlooking the Aegean Sea and the neighboring island of Halki, the crumbling stone shell of Kritinia Castle crowns a 430-foot (131-meter) hill above the village of Kritinia. Originally built in the 15th century by the Knights of St. John, the castle features a ruined chapel and the coats of arms of Grand Masters.

Starting from Kritinia, a small town of Cretan origin, you descend through a path surrounded by Aleppo pines, strawberry trees, wild sage and thorny oaks, to a small pebble bay that boasts a crystalline sea. The panorama enjoyed during this descent is unique: Halki, Alimia and other small islands emerge from the blue of the Aegean and this view, together with the pure air that you breathe along this route, will remain an indelible memory. Excellent Rhodes day trip
Excellent day trip with a lovely guide. Very interesting places but we thought it was a bit rushed at Kamiros and would have preferred an extra 30 mins there. Apart from that all good!

Good way to spend a day!
Ancient ruins were fascinating. Our tour guide, Catarina, was both upbeat and knowledgeable. Pace and itinerary were just right.

Fantastic day trip
WOW. This was an amazing day trip. We booked to do it on our last day and were so happy we did it. Our guide was fantastic. She was full of knowledge and so passionate about her Island. Our driver did an amazing job. Loved Filermos,the beautiful restaurant we stopped in for lunch at and the ruins were brilliant. Highly recommend this trip.
