Overview

The Appian is one of Rome’s most glorious sights, but is quite long, and can take 3-4 hours to explore on foot. With this small-group tour, easily cover more ground by exploring on the back of zippy e-bikes complete with helmet, phone holder, and child seats (if needed). That should leave you more time to visit the Nymphaeum of Egeria archaeological site, the Tomb of Caecilia Metella, and the Catacombs of Saint Callixtus.

    Our guide was perfect, I can’t remember her name but the tour couldn’t have gone better. The trainee Victoria was amazing also. We got to see Rome in a unique way and exercise at the same time. 10/10 Would recommend!

    Awesome adventure. Great information and history by Veronica. She ensured everyone was safe and enjoying the adventure. The pace was just right for everyone in the group. The bikes were in good shape and worked well.

    We saw a very different rural part of Rome, which we’d never have found otherwise. The e-bikes were brilliant and made the trip very enjoyable. The caves were fascinating, the Appian way was somewhere we’d love to explore further and the catacombs were extraordinary. Our guide was brilliant - very informative and helpful and I’d absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who wants a different experience in Rome.

    What a great way to explore Rome! Riding thru the trails and along Appian way and experiencing the catacombs was so fun for the whole family. Elena was friendly and helpful and gave an awesome tour! Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Rome!

    Fantastic tour today. The bike shop fitted us well with bikes and allowed us to practice. Our tour guide was exceptional and funny and we were able to all chat and enjoy the ride and learn so much history!

    Flavio was wonderful. Biking was very easy- mostly off busy streets, through a park, to the city wall. Biking along the appian way and through the caves was amazing. Flavio was a great source of info and history!

    We had a FUN-Tastic, adventurous bike ride with-in the city & exiting to a peaceful park just outside the city noise. We very much enjoyed our tour guide, Alessandro! He gets 10 Stars! He was very informative & educational. He followed the rules of the road & made us feel safe through & through. We most definitely would book this tour again! Next time we will go deeper into the labyrinth of the caves. 😁
