Your bike tour starts by meeting your guide at a central location in Rome. You'll be paired with an electric-assist bicycle, which looks like a regular bicycle but takes out most of the work of pedaling up Rome’s famous hills. Pedal away from Rome’s busy traffic, following your guide past sights like the Circus Maximus; ride through the colorful neighborhood of Trastevere and visit popular piazzas like Saint Peter's Square. Climb on the Janiculum Hill for a breath-taking view of the Eternal city and ride down to the square of Saint Peter’s Basilica and to Castel Sant’Angelo. Finish the tour by going on the Capitoline hill, for a view over the monumental ruins of the Roman forum.

Fabio was a knowledgeable guide; passionate about Roman history. The ride was magical, taking in beautiful vistas from around the city. We had a fantastic time. Lots of cobblestones. A few alleyways where pedestrian-dodging was necessary.

This was a real highlight of our trip to Rome. We had great fun following our guide, Emanuel, and listening to his local insights. The size of the group was just right. We seemed to cover the whole city. Despite the warmth of August, the electric bikes made it effortless.

We had an awesome tour. The electric bikes were fabulous it was so hot and they were of great assistance. We explored amazing ground using the bikes. Our tour started at 4pm which was perfect because we would be starting to enter the cooler part of the day. The back alleys and side streets were a thing we would never have explored. For this we are truly grateful we did the tour and would strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to explore the true Rome.

I would highly recommend this as a way to see the majority of the main sites. Make sure to be well versed on how to ride an assist bike so that all of the shifting comes naturally as you travel on several busy roads. A bad rider in the group could cause major issues. Our guide was fantastic but we got behind schedule and had to rush the end.

The best way to see Rome. The half-day tour was probably enough but an easy stroll around areas of the city you would not otherwise see was definitely worthwhile.

The tour was the highlight of our trip to Rome, We went with Top Bike Rental and they were so friendly and professional . We popped in 2 days before the tour to check the details and the lady behind the desk was a gem. She gave us hints and tips to enhance our stay and by then we knew we had picked the right tour. Our tour guide was Valeria who was friendly and had so much knowledge throughout the tour she made our week. We felt safe at all times on route and believe this is a great way to see Rome.

A friend and I were staying in Rome for just two days, so we chose this tour to get our bearings and see as much as we could. Our guide, Frederico, went out of his way to give us a totally unique, honest and informative experience of the city. It really made our trip. Thanks so much!

Absolutely fabulous experience. A small group (just two riders plus the guide), we got a great look at the city. The spots we stopped (for coffee and later pizza) were top notch, and ones that I returned to on my own. This tour made my trip! I ride a road bike at home, so this was not a stretch. If you haven't ridden in 15 years, this is a pretty technical undertaking. It's not the up- and down-hill that challenge -- although there are hills -- it's the crowds. (I chose a touring bike with an electronic battery "assist", so going uphill was easy.) Unlike a walking tour, where you are listening to a guide (usually through a headset) while you walk, on this biking tour you ride for awhile, then stop and listen to explanation. This tour made my trip!

Great way to experience Rome. Aside from wonderful panoramic views of Rome, we took small alley ways into the various sections. We saw sights in Trastevere, toured the Pantheon, and went to the Vatican City. Caution: Some were on electric bikes that lurched forward when the rider tried to slow.

Our Panoramic tour of Rome was outstanding! Gederico the guide was a fount of knowledge and was very considerate of all levels of riders in our group. We learned so much on this tour and saw intimate sights of Rome that normal tours on buses cannot see. I cannot recommend this tour enough and it is enjoyable for all level of riders. Next time we are in Rome we will do a different tour and request Gederico to lead us.

Even in the rain this was a highlight of our trip to Rome. Finally we were taken to places off the beaten track. Our guide Matteo had insightful commentary at each sight.
