A very memorable overnight trip into Rub Al Khali with interesting stop-overs in Ubar and Wadi Dawkah on the way there. We also stopped at a camel farm which is interesting if you have not seen camels elsewhere. Our guide Ibrahim was very friendly and did an excellent job in finding quiet places on the sand dunes to enjoy an unforgettable sun set and sun rise the next morning. He also provided us with a lot of information on the way of life in Oman which helped us to better understanding the country and its people.

Amazing two days. Many thanks to our driver Mohammed. He shared a lot of very interesting background information. Camp is very very basic. Not comparable to those in WahibaSands. We enjoyed the trip

Unique desert camp experience

Crossing the Empty Quarter desert sand tunes was an amazing experience and I highly recommend this trip, especially for those looking for an exciting adventure! We had fun taking pictures and videos at an authentic camel farm, and tried camel milk. The camel meat and chicken BBQ at the camp were delicious. The beds inside the tent we’re comfortable. Although the day was cloudy and we did not see the sunset nor sunrise, the trip is still a memorable one.

Segnalo innanzitutto la gentilezza e preparazione della guida, Tahir Mahmood. La sosta con visita albero dell’incenso, spiegazioni durante il tragitto, tour sulle dune e attesa del tramonto la splendida notte in tenda e la grande accoglienza alla cena e colazione.

Bella esperienza, interessante il discorso sul frankincense. Bella l'esperienza sulle dune con la 4x4, il tramonto e la scelta del campo. E mi sono trovato BENISSIMO con la guida, una persona squisita! 4 stelle perché Viator sicuramente ha incrementato NON DI POCO il prezzo. Spero che le agenzie locali stesse riescano ad uscire da questi tipi di circuiti, ne gioverebbero sicuramente.

Mein Guide Abo Salim war ein wunderbarer Begleiter, ich habe mich jederzeit sehr sicher und beschützt gefühlt. Mit seinem freunlichen und respektvollen Umgang auch gegenüber seinen Landsleuten war ich jederzeit überall herzliche willkommen und sehr gut aufgehoben. Er ist ein sehr sicherer und erfahrener Dünenfahrer sein komfortabeles sauberes 4x4 beherrscht er grandios. Die Wüste war ein besonderes Erlebnis auf der hohen Düne den Sonnenuntergang zu erleben, einfach atemberaubend neben den Weihrauchbäumen, Ubar (beides UNESCO) und den Kamelhirten. Abo Salim gab mir immer genug Zeit und Raum diese besondere Momente zu genießen und zu erleben. Den Zauber im Wüstencamp hat er mit seinen Erzählungen über die Beduinen und mit seiner Kenntnis der Sterne zu einem weiteren besonderen Erlebnis gemacht. Das Camp war sehr sauber und der liebe Campbetreuer hat uns sehr gut beköstigt und betreut. Auch hier habe ich mich jeder Zeit sicher gefühlt, da wir die einzigen Gäste waren. Während der Fahrt hat mein Guide über sein wunderbares Oman berichtet und mir Fragen beantwort. Diese Reise war ein ganz besonderer Traum von mir, und mit Abo Salim wurde diese Reise unvergesslich.
