Amazing Personal Tour of Salisbury and Stonehenge with Sebastian!
Renee_D, Nov 2022
Sebastian was an amazing tour guide. He is so knowledgeable and told us the history of Salisbury Cathedral which included the different chapels such as St. Catherine’s chapel and Audley Chapel. These chapels were breathtaking but my favorite was Audley Chapel with the stunning architect on the ceiling. We the stopped at Woodhenge and last but not least Stonehenge. Sebastian gave us a history lesson in so much detail about Stonehenge. The history lesson was truly amazing and my sister and I will share our new knowledge with our grandkids. Sebastian went above and beyond his call of duty and if we return with our grandkids we will definitely request Sebastian as our personal tour guide. We now have a new friend in Salisbury!
Well spent day

Sebastian made the history and culture of Salisbury enjoyable and understandable. We felt pleased in everyway.
Excellent tour of Salisbury area.

For our group of 4, we found that we most enjoyed having our tour done by someone who lives and has grown up in the area we wanted to see. Our guide, Steve, was full of local knowledge and history. He was easy to talk to and made our day very enjoyable. Great vehicle and expert driver and guide. Thanks again.
More than excellent!!! Fantabuloso🥳🥳🥳

Our tour guide (did not catch his name but he was Italian!) was terrific. There were four of us so we had a private tour and he was very knowledgeable about history and the area. I highly recommend it!

Can’t say enough positive things about this tour and particularly our guide, Ian. Sunday morning 9:00am was our only chance and a hard slot to accommodate but Viator was super in every regard. Wonderful, comfortable car, insider tips from Ian, and best of all, completely stress free for us. Best decision of our entire vacation.
Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge

Dave was excellent. He was funny and knowledgeable about the area. Dave shared many fun facts during the day. He allowed us to explore Stonehenge, Salisbury and old Sarum at our own pace. We never felt rushed while he waited for us. If you like exploring each major site on your own, this is the right tour for you. Dave was willing to add things to the tour if there was something special you wanted to see and do. We also explored the areas around Salisbury and was able to take some great photos! I highly recommend this tour. We could not have possibly seen all of this on our own. Thank you so much Dave!

My wife and I along with our daughter and 14-year old grandson took a Stonehenge-related tour in late March. Our tour guide, Jeff, arranged the tour around our interests, showing us Woodhenge and Stonehenge and we discussed Bluestonehenge and their mutual relation. Jeff's knowledge about the latest theories of their construction and purpose was very impressive. In the afternoon we had a special presentation about the recent findings at Blick Mead that extends our knowledge of early man in this area back to the mesolithic period. It was the highlight of our trip and our grandson is still talking about it.

This was an extremely well organised tour which was smooth from a punctual pick-up to the drop-off at the hotel. The day was filled with unexpected experiences, which went beyond even what the itinerary promised, all made better by the company of our friendly guide, Sebastian, who provided interesting incidental facts and anecdotes to accompany the sights. The day was full and yet relaxed, with ample time to enjoy each experience The thoughtful planning and commentary gave us a more comprehensive understanding of how each of the elements we saw played a part in the history of the area. Sebastians genuine enthusiasm and extensive knowledge really made the trip special, and we ended the day having learned more fully about the areas history rather than a just disparate jumble of facts. It is difficult to choose favourite moments as we thoroughly enjoyed every one from seeing Salisbury cathedral from the same vantage point as Constable, as the morning mist rose from the meadows taking in the art glass exhibition and sculptures at the truly majestic Salisbury Cathedral visiting the castle ruins at Old Sarum, overlooking New Sarum now Salisbury divining lay lines at Bluehenge, and surveying the landscape at Durrington Walls, the site of the neolithic settlement. A highlight was of course the visit to Stonehenge, and chance to spend time in the exhibition at the visitor centre there, but the tranquility and beauty of Woodhenge was also not to be missed. This was an outstanding tour, packed but never rushed, and we would highly recommend it. Faultless and first class!
