Would recommend.

Great trip. All in Spanish but someone kindly interpreted. Prompt pick up. Breakfast stop efficient. Bumpy roads but so worth it. I was dropped off at Palenque and jumped straight into a swimming pool to cool off. Would recommend. Prompt pickup so be up and ready to go. I took swimming stuff but didn't go in.
Viator failed

Viator does not care about safety or contract obligations and I have a chat that confirms so recommed to all to book directly with local operators
Amazing sights but don’t do it this way
Michael_W, Jan 2023
The 5 hours we spent at Palenque, Misol-ha and Agua Azul were absolutely incredible. The natural beauty and history is stunning. It was well worth paying extra for a guided tour of Palenque (only your entrance is included in this tour). These are 3 sights you have to see. However we spent 13 hours on a bus on a windy, bumpy road through the jungle. It was intense to say the least and we absolutely hated the travel, despite our driver’s best efforts. Some people were smart and travelled one way with an overnight stay in Palenque to break up their journey. I really wish we had done this because the bus journey was interminable. We left San Cristobal at 3.30am and only returned home around 9.30pm.

Thank you for your comment, being in a town at 2,200 meters above sea level, with mountain nature, we began our trip to palenque through state roads that cross the mountain to go down in height and find nature typical of a jungle hot and humid, 300 meters above sea level. Adding that they are state roads where we find many towns, of which to have safety they install speed reducers, which makes the trip complicated We understand your discomfort, but the road is not in our hands. To be able to admire the wonders of our state if you have to pass these roads. Regards.
Worst service ever

Person throwing u in small bus and driver not helping clean or having any supplies. Being forced to switch buses on way home and wait for an hour, second bus barely had room, being throw at a tour guide that was selling crafts , not part of this trip but felt like we couldn't go in without him
Please avoid them

They did not treat us well during our trip. The manager had the nerve to threaten me calling on my phone just because I complained about the bad service we got

A really long trip (from 3.30 am to 22.30) but absolutely worth, aqua Azul and Palenque are breathtaking!
Totally worth the effort
Amar_A, Apr 2022
Totally worth the effort. It is a very long trip. I think alltogether it took 19 hours. We had a very good driver (Manuel) who knew very well how to drive in these curvy and bumpy roads. The things you see are amazing so I would totally recommend this tour. The only thing to point out and why I give 4 stars instead of 5, is that they have deals with the restaurants already so you will be taken to have breakfast to a place and lunch to another. So you don't have much choice in terms of choosing other places to eat in.
Beautiful but dangerous roads
Blanca_J, Apr 2022
Beautiful places but roads are too dangerous!! Almost got hit by an 18 wheeler, we would have gone down the cliff.
Getting up early is definitely worth it
Johannes_M, Dec 2021
Despite the very early pick-up (3:30am), a very nice trip with an excellent guide! What we did and what we recommend to do: enjoy the visits to Agua azúl, Misol-Ha and the archeological site of Palenque and then stay in Palenque. By doing so, you avoid the long trip back to San Cristobal de la Casa and you can visit some sites close to Palenque on the next day.

The trip is too long, 19 hours long with a total of 5 hours at the parks and 14 hours on the road. The parks are breathtaking and worth visiting. However, the ride is long, windy and uncomfortable so be prepared.
For history enthusiasts and adventure seekers

Jalapeńo Tours made our experience even MORE memorable. The 7 hour drive was tough, but our driver did his best to help us enjoy the drive. Palenque is a fun trip for those seek adventure and appreciate nature. Venturing through the Palenque ruins feels like you are going way back in time. As you walk through the jungle you are literally stepping over ruins that have yet to be excavated. Savor every moment, because you are bound to miss something you've never seen in person before.

This trip is too long so you can enjoy anything of it and the road is very hard and very uncomfortable. Maybe it is better to make a stop in Palenque and visit the site than to take this trip.

This trip is extremely long - you start at 4am and (as In my case) returned to the zocalo around 11.30pm. But is it worth it? Absolutely- Palenque and Agua Azul are a must see and budget wise very economical. Our driver from Jalapeño tours was skilled at navigating those windy, bumpy roads.
