What To Expect

Meet up with your Bacardí host at the facility’s Bacardí Pavilion, enjoying an in-depth tasting session lead by one of the company’s knowledgeable specialists. You’ll sample a range of rum styles selected by Bacardí’s master blender, including Bacardí Gran Reserva Maestro de Ron, Bacardí Reserva Limitada, Bacardí Carta Blanca, Bacardí Gran Reserva 8 Años, and the high-end Casa Bacardí Special Reserve, which is not available anywhere else. As you taste you’ll learn about each style’s unique attributes, helping you to develop a newfound appreciation for this iconic Caribbean spirit.

Want to continue expanding your new rum expertise? Continue your day with a distillery tour, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the production process behind the legendary Bacardí rum brand. During the course of your visit you’ll enjoy refresh yourself with a welcome rum cocktail, served in a souvenir Bacardí glass and have time to shop for a variety of collectibles and fun gifts at the on-site store.

If you’re looking to spend some more time in this complex known as the “Cathedral of Rum,” make sure to check out the views of Old San Juan visible in the bat-shaped (like the company logo) main pavilion and taste a wealth of gastronomic delights at Georgina, the on-site restaurant. Before you leave, you'll receive an honorary 'certificate of completion,' celebrating your new rum knowledge.

Casa BACARDÍ welcomes all visitors 18 years or older. A valid ID is required at check-in.
It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes
Minors under 18 are not allowed in the experiences, bookings with minors will not be granted a refund if requested the day of the experience.
We encourage responsible consumption. Mixology and Rum Tasting experiences are limited to one experience per person, per day. Legacy Tours can be combined with one other experience in a single day.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Itsy the Bacardi Ambassador

Other than the GPS trying to take us thru the industrial entrance, there was not a hiccup in this tour. From the ease of booking and paying online thru the end of the tour and tasting, this was a Great Experience. Itsy, our tour guide was upbeat, knowledgeable and just all around True Ambassador for Bacardi! She spoke very clearlyvand with exuberance, answered questions and simply added to the overall experience. We arrived a bit early so we were able to relax and enjoy our welcome beverages and the multiple activities available under the pavilion. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a ride through a barrel aging house. Thank and I hope to return soon for the mixology class.

Our guide, Christian, was not only informative but also kept us entertained with his wit. I wholeheartedly endorse this tour for first-time visitors to the region. I loved hearing the history of the Bacardí family and the significance of the bat on their label. It was interesting to hear a brief overview of how rum is created and why some is for mixing and some for sipping.

Our instructor was phenomenal on teaching us the different variety of rum. Aging proccess, to the fermenting to being able to dictate a fraud rum. Now I will never see rum the same again if ain't from Bacardi, ain't at my party!

Our tour guide Alex was the MOST memorable thing. He was great! 5 stars. However, just trolley around outside of, what could be any industrial facility, was lack- luster. Even going through the stacked barrel houses would have made it better, let alone seeing the distillery in operation. I know Bacardí can do better and they should to entice more to do this tour.

This tour was beautiful. I loved tasting the different rums and actually learning how to enjoy them. The tour guide was amazing! He loved what he was doing and you could tell! I loved the view and loved seeing where the rum was made and how it started. Beautiful views as well and loved the welcome drink!

The tour was wonderful but just so you know, if you book directly through the Casa bacardi website you save $10. To put things in perspective, booking via viator and through the website, there is no difference. This tour does not include pick up via viator. So book through the website and save $10 per person.

The BACARDÍ tasting was definitely a great experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided detailed historical accounts of the origins of BACARDÍ as well as info on the current operations. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and when we return to PR plan to do the mixology class. The grounds are immaculate. The drinks were really tasty and so was the food. All in all a great experience that I will (and already have) recommend to others.

Fun experience. We didn’t get a tour because it was raining so hard, all the tours were a bit delayed. We were able to wait in the outside bar area and stay dry. Learned a lot about rum. The Pina colada on the rocks was awesome!!
