Our driver Kate was such an amazing tour guide. She went up and beyond by taking my teen daughter and I around to some of the most beautiful areas. She was full of history and had a kind heart that single handedly was the best tour ever. Thank you for a life time memories. I’ve never felt so loved and taken care of by anyone before in just 8 hours. But Kate did it and will always have a special place in our hearts.

Enjoyable Private Day Tour from Sapporo

It was snowing and still very cold when we visited the attractions on 2nd Apr 2024, an early spring weather! However, we still enjoyed it very much, and the scenery was exceptionally beautiful at the waterfall and the blue pond (not blue though as it was covered with snow). Also had the chance to see the animals found in Hokkaido. The driver was from Japan and he was very nice and helpful. He even added a visit to the lavender farm at Furano as we had extra time. Though there was no lavender, we saw some pretty flowers in the greenhouse and also tasted lavender ice cream. Very highly recommend this private day tour from.Sapporo.

Beautiful winter wonderland

The landscape was extraordinary, a wonderland of white. The polar bears at the zoo were really active and energetic due to cold weather. The pond was frozen over but the serene views were spectacular. Our driver and guide was very knowledgeable, kind, and courteous. We enjoyed the tour very much.

Wonderful trip with Masaru

Love everything about this trip and also our driver, Masaru. He is very nice and kind. Even though he cannot speak English well but he tried and he also using apps translation which was very helpful. We communicated using the apps but still having fun and got an invaluable memories. Thank to Masaru again for his best drive and also awesome guide.

Awesome trip albeit the heavy snow

It was heavily snowing when we went to Asahiyama Zoo. Our driver Shogo-san was carefully driving the van. Both Jamie-san, our English speaking guide, and Shogo-san, were professional, very courteous and apologetic for the trip delay due to heavy snow. We had a good time, although we were not able to see the Blue Pond and Shirahige falls. Maybe it was just a wrong timing when we had the excursion. We intend to go back at a right weather next time.

Watch breathtaking scenery in comfort

Our guide Orie Kishikawa san was fantastic. She was very patient and caring and provided first class service. She drove safely and steadily and introduced the places to us. Even though the blue pond was white, the view was breathtaking. Asahiyama zoo is a must go and worth investing at least 2 hours there. Just take note that penguin walking does not take place in early December. Ningle Terrace was packed and crowded and it was almost impossible to visit the shops there.

Kate san was the most wonderful driver we could have asked for. Everything went perfect on that day and I would love to book another trip again. Originally I had issues booking the itinerary that I wanted but the tour group was very helpful in reaching out and providing me with the right one. The blue pond was definitely the highlight of this tour. There was an ethereal quality to seeing it in person. We took the private car tour for 3 people and it was very convenient. The only con was the confirmation of the tour took more than 24 hours and we had already booked another option. Good thing the second option was easily cancelled. If traveling in a group of 3 or more I would recommend choosing the private car/van option since the drive is long coming from Sapporo.

Good value for day trips

Our driver was Takaogi San was very patient and helpful with the elderly. We did not want to walk the zoo, and replaced it with Furano Shrine and Furano Marche. He was able to suggest a good place for lunch on the way to Biei. Appreciate his helpfulness and courteousness. I travelled with family (elderly). I highly recommend anyone visiting Sapporo, and have not yet visited Furano/Biei area to consider this trip.

One of our best trips in Hokkaido! Must-sees in your list of you want to explore Hokkaido. Our guide, Kate, even took us to some of the most breathtaking sceneries to take photos to our hearts' content in Biei and Furano. She even brought us to a cheese factory where they sell very good ones. And don't forget the lavender soft cream at Farm Tomita!
