    The best!
    Damon_R, May 2024
Mr. Brad was awesome! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We’d highly recommend this tour. Our 9 year old needed some encouragement to stay engaged, but for any children who love history, this is a winner.
    lots to learn

Our guide was wonderful! Very knowledgeable and funny! And we loved that we were a very small group!

Sunday mornings tend to be smaller groups. Thank you so much for your review! Your review made your guide’s day!
    Great historic homes tour
    Bert_H, Apr 2024
Our guide was very knowledgeable of the historic homes. Hearing the history of each one. I wished we could have gone in one during the tour. We could when the tour was over but we didn’t have time. We had signed up for another tour right after.
    Response from Host, Apr 2024
Thank you for the review! Since the tour is two hours and a house tour is 1.5 hours, touring a home while on tour gives little time for the guide to actually give their tour so we offer a home visit at your leisure after your tour.
    Great guide

Our guide was fantastic!👍🏼Very knowledgeable about homes and history of Savannah. His name was Brad

    Not what we expected
    Donna_R, Apr 2024
The tour and the tour guide were fine—interesting and easy. However, the tour did not match the tour description on the via tour website. The description indicated that we would actually tour historic homes , but we simply walked past them. Additionally, the homes mentioned in the tour description were not the homes we walked by.
    Response from Host, Apr 2024
Hello! The tour description lists potential homes that will be covered on the tour. The tour covers architecture and the role of the homes in history. That’s why it’s a 2.0 hour tour and it’s priced at $35.00. If we were simply going though houses, the tour would take about 5 hours to give and would be far more expensive. Your tour did include a visit after the tour to the Isaiah Davenport home which your guide reminded the group but your party never showed up for that tour. Y’all went to lunch instead.
    Go on this tour!!
    Andie_D, Apr 2024
Amazing! The tour guide (whose name I missed!) was super knowledgeable. He was both educational and funny. I only wished it had been longer in duration.
    Response from Host, Apr 2024
We’re so glad you enjoyed the tour. Your guide’s name is William and the homes tour is a favorite of his!
    History and architecture lesson
    Deanna_H, Mar 2024
Learned about the history and tons of architecture and the different styles through time. Loved all the history as the city grew and changed and why
    Response from Host, Mar 2024
Thank you so much for the review! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed the tour!!
    It was okay
    Luann_R, Feb 2024
It was good the host was knowledgeable. One issue I had was I thought this tour included going in to some of the houses, it was not disappointed.
    Response from Host, Feb 2024
Thank you for the review! The tour you booked was the architectural tour. It is a 1.5-2.0 hour tour. If we were to go into some of the houses it would be a 3.0-4.5 hour tour and would be much more expensive. This tour introduces you to the homes, architecture and their roles in history. You then have the knowledge to select and tour the homes you really want to see. In this instance, y’all even had a private tour!
    Excellent tour

Highly recommend this tour. Not only did we learn about the city’s history and architectural, but we also enjoyed the tour guide’s presentations.

Amazing tour, and we highly recommend it. The right amount of information was relayed at each stop--not too much, not too little. Thanks!

    Packed with great information!

This was an amazing tour! We loved learning about the architecture and history of Savannah. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly with a great sense of humor. We will be doing another tour with him the next time we return to Savannah. I highly recommend this tour.

    Learned a lot!
    Laura_F, Apr 2023
My daughter and I learned so much about the history and architecture of Savannah. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant! I prefer walking than riding in a trolley.
    Response from Host, Apr 2023
Thank you so much for the review! We’re so happy to hear you learned so much! Please visit us again and consider taking the sister tour to the Homes tour which is the Gates and Gardens tour!

It was a lot of walking on not good roads but the history was great and the guid was great. I would recommend during summer or spring
    Response from Host, Dec 2022
Well, it’s a 300 year old city built on the sand. The sidewalks are bound to be uneven. Lol. We’re glad you enjoyed the tour though!!!
    Great historic home tour!
    Steven_S, Dec 2022
Great historic home tour. We did not go inside the homes but that was fine. The information from our fantastic guide was fabulous and entertaining!
    Response from Host, Dec 2022
Thank you for the review!! The tour doesn’t go through the homes. It’s an architectural tour. A tour going through the homes would take hours and the tour would be much more expensive!

A wonderful way to learn the details and stories of some of the rich history of Savannahs homes and the people that built them.

Super informative with a spooky twist. The guide was very informative. Lots of history. A great way to get to know Savannah.

Walking by houses - not inside
    Lorraine_H, Oct 2022
Overall it was a good talk on the architecture of the homes and very interesting. I was very disappointed that we did not go in any of the houses that were described in the tour. This should have been stated in the description. If I had known this beforehand I would have just bought tickets to the individual houses. Juliette low, Owen Thomas, Green and Harper homes and skipped the tour.
    Response from Host, Oct 2022
Thank you for the review. The Homes tour description clearly states that it is an architectural tour that includes visiting one house museum.at conclusion of the tour. At this time that is the Isaiah Davenport house. The list of houses in the description is a list of the houses that will be examined on the tour. You knew this because we discussed it via text. You were also given the option of cancelling the tour because it was quite obvious that you were only interested in touring houses. Not an architectural tour. You decided to keep your reservation and attend the tour. At the end of the tour, you toured the Isaiah Davenport house as promised.

Our guide had an excellent command of Savannah history. His presentation was interesting. Voice amplification would have made it better as well as being brought back to the point where we started.
    Response from Host, Oct 2022
We’re glad you enjoyed the tour! By city ordinance, voice amplification equipment is not allowed for use by walking tour guides. But our guides have very loud mouths and will gladly repeat anything that was not heard clearly. To avoid redundancy, we normally don’t end the tour at the same place the tour started. However, all of our guides are delighted to escort any guests back to the meeting location if they feel they need assistance.
