Our time with the 2-day Angkor Wat tour with Jimmy as our tour guide in Cambodia was exactly our vision. The experience was exactly what was explained online. The experience was worth the money in every possible way, but the highlight of the tour was our guide, Jimmy. His kindness and friendliness put us at ease, setting the tone for a memorable two-day experience. Right off the bat, Jimmy's sense of humor added an extra layer of fun to our trip. His jokes and anecdotes entertained us during long drives and helped create a warm atmosphere throughout the trek. But it wasn't just his humor that made him exceptional; it was his depth of knowledge about the sites we visited. As we explored landmarks like Angkor Wat, Bayon (a now personal favorite!),Ta Prohm and ten other sites, Jimmy served as our personal encyclopedia of history and culture. His explanations of Hinduism and Buddhism, intertwined with captivating stories, enriched our understanding of Cambodia's heritage. He didn't just recite facts; he made everything more personal and magical, bringing the ancient sites to life. He also knew logistics like when to hit which locations before crowds showed up or which spots were better in the morning because of heat. Jimmy also had loads of patience and flexibility. He tailored our experience to suit our interests and pace, ensuring that we got the most out of every moment. Whether we wanted to linger at a temple to soak in more epicness or call it early because jet lag can be a bummer, he was willing to go with the flow. One of our favorite moments was when Jimmy guided us toward a very special spot in one of the temples. He mentioned how many people pass it because it’s a bit of the way or because they didn’t have the right information, but he knew we were going to love it. It ended up being a beautiful shrine to a queen that was decorated with gifts and incense. Other tourists continued to pass it without knowing it’s existence but because of Jimmy we got a special VIP memorable moment. Jimmy's talent as a photographer also elevated our experience. He knew precisely where to position us for the perfect shot. He even played around with my different Polaroid cameras knowing how special it was for me to have momentos. He did it without an ounce of doubt. Thanks to him, we have a stunning collection of photographs that capture the essence of a trip to the different monuments. We would book Jimmy for future adventures in Cambodia in a snap. His professionalism, expertise, and genuine passion for sharing the locations make him an invaluable tour guide. We will enthusiastically recommend him to all our friends who express an interest in visiting Cambodia, knowing that they will be in the best possible hands. We also have to give a shout out to Jimmy’s driver, Hi, who constantly kept us safe on the roads and hydrated with plenty of water and cold towels in the trunk of the car. Life saver, really! We feel incredibly grateful and fortunate to have had Jimmy as our guide. His wisdom, enthusiasm, and warmth enriched our journey in ways we never imagined possible. He didn't just show us the sights; he enlightened us, leaving an indelible mark on our experience. Thank you, Jimmy, for a truly unforgettable experience.

Our guide, Somuch (hopefully I got his name right) and driver did excellent job. They were flexible to change programme and showed us the most interesting temples. We have also learned about history of the country, in some ways through the personal experience of our guide. I would highly recommend this programme, especially for those who want to stay flexible as it's not easy to visit many temples when it's so hot as it was when we were there.

This tour is amazing. We had a wonderful time both days. Our tour guide was very informative and took tons of photos. Our driver had water and cold towels waiting for us every time we got back into the car. This place is amazing and two days is not enough to see everything, but you’ll will see mose of the main temples. Thanks for an amazing time in this majestic place.

The ONLY way to see Angkor Wat!

We had by far the best team to show us Angkor Wat Archeological Park. With Screng behind the wheel and our guide Chhay we REALLY SAW and experienced this amazing culture. Chhay would provide great information and insight so you could feel the civilization centuries later. We did not want for anything on this tour as we saw EVERYTHING and at our pace, with Chhay doubling as photographer for together photos. We managed to always avert crowds. We ate lunches at wonderful restaurants. And Screng was always there to great us after each temple or location. Waiting with ice cold water and towels and the A/C up high. This is the way to see this special place and these are the special people to see it with. Don't play around with tuk-tuks. You need a special, highly trained team like we had to see these sites. And never rushed, not at a site, not at lunch. This was our tour and we had the team to do it right!

Great tour

Our guide was great. We had a copy of the Angkor Temple Guide and he knew where everything was and where to stand to take the best photos. He also pointed out other great things to see which were not in the guide. The tour was 2 days and listed close to 20 temples to see. By 2:00 PM on our first day the temperature was 102 F, so we quit for the day. In all, we saw only 8 or 9 temples. Our quide would have been happy to show us as many more as we wanted, but also told us that ones we did not see would have contained nothing different than what we saw, just more of the same, so keep that in mind if the weather is hot - which it usually is. We were not sure about the group size for this tour when booked, but it proved to be just a guide, a driver, and a car for the two of us - perfect.

We were so pleased with our tour guide Thean! He's the best. We were so glad we did a private tour. Thean even knew a place to catch a Sunrise picture of Ankor Wat where there weren't hundreds of people and you could sit on wall. He was very knowledgeable and brought history to life. He offered several options but never pushed us to do or not do anything. I suggest asking for him if you book this tour. The lunch restaurant was clean and air conditioned which was a nice break. The driver Lay was also very professional and slowed down when we passed things we didn't want to stop at. He gave us cool wet cloths and water whenever we needed it. I highly recommend booking with Happy Ankor Tours through Viator.

Great 2 day tour of Siem Reap temples

Great experience traveling to Angkor Wat and multiple lesser known temples near Siem Reap. Chaay and Tad were a great guide/driver team that met us at our hotel promptly at the scheduled time. And the menthol scented cold towels and bottles of ice cold water really helped to rejuvenate us as we climbed back into our air conditioned van. You may be able to save a few bucks by hiring a tuk-tuk to transport you to the different temples. But the air conditioning was well worth the splurge for an older couple like us. Chaay was also a magician with our camera phone. He knew great camera angles and tricks that provided some really great photos to provide fond memories of our time in Cambodia. Chaay was also

Thou was an excellent tour guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. He let view all the temples at our own pace, and also helped to change the schedule as per our wishes (we wanted to do sunrise and the whole of Angkor Wat on the second day, instead of doing part of it on the first day). This is a great tour for anyone who would like to see all the important temples, comprehensively.

We had two days with Mr Sam (guide) and Mr San (driver) for a private tour of Angkor park. We were treated like royalty! - Mr Sam knew all the best things to see and was very knowledgeable about the temples, and it was lovely to get back to Mr San’s air conditioned car with regular supplies of cold towels and water. For my partner who is a photographer, they were incredibly patient whilst he was taking shots (and telling people to get out the photos 😆) and Mr Sam knew all the best places to take the best photos. It was an honour to spend two days with these lovely people and to learn about Angkor but also about how wonderful and generous the Cambodian people are. Cannot recommend this tour more highly - 10 stars! 🤩

Good immersion in the local Wats, especially Angkor Was

The Angkor Wat tour, including the sunrise, were the highlight of the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we visited several wats in the area, including the breathtaking buddha face sculptures at the Bayon temple. Our guide also knew how to maneuver and time our visits to avoid big crowds and choke points.

This was one of the best Viator tours we've taken. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of all the sites and temples that he took us to, and had the inside scoop on the best photo spots around Angkor Wat and Siem Reap. Both the driver and the guide catered to our every need: the Van had AC, they provided us with cold water and towels for the heat, and also gave us tips for shows and shops to visit in during our stay. The tour itself was quite long, we decided to skip some of the last sites on the itinerary since we were tired from a full day of touring, however the areas we did get to see were simply spectacular. I highly recommend this tour if you don't have a long stay in Siem Reap, we were able to visit all the sites we wanted to in perfect comfort.

Absolutely fantastic two days with our tour guide Jimmy and driver Lee. Jimmy has an obvious and infectious passion for what he does and really brought the history of all the sites to life. He was also happy to answer our more general questions on Cambodia which really helped us get a feel for the country and its way of life. Lee was also fantastic at making sure we were comfortable, offering us water and a cool towel whenever we had done a long stretch away from the cool AC of the car! Always punctual he managed to be just where we needed him at the right time! A fabulous duo that made our time in Siem Reap one we will remember forever!

We really enjoyed our tour. It’s jam packed. We actually ended early on day 2 because we were getting temple’d out - there is just so much to see. Our tour guide Vanna was so knowledgeable and we especially loved the Hindu and Buddhist lore, depictions of ancient every day life, Cambodian epic tales of the bas-reliefs and carvings. They pointed out things we would have never thought to look on our own: hidden treasures. Our driver Tat was also excellent- we got cold minty/tiger balmy towels and ice cold water at every break. The team was excellent.

A fascinating tour given by an expert in his field

Tour guide Saruon Pal has an expert knowledge of the Angkor temple complex and its history. He augments his tour with photos and short films on an iPad that greatly enhance the experience. I would strongly recommend that anybody who wants to learn a bit more about the history and theology of Angkor seeks out Saruon Pal and his driver Sokhum and takes one of their tours.

Lovely two days at the temples. The driver was excellent - The car was cool and always replenished with cold water and towels after each temple. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the country and temples and provided in depth explanations. The only thing I missed was the sunset temple which was advertised but we finished early so I was taken back to hotel instead.
