We pick up from ALL hotels. Guests are met at the Lobby of their hotel. The duration of the tour is 3 and a half hours; however guest have the option of requesting shorter tour.

What To Expect

Explore the history and scenic beauty of Antigua during this quick 3.5-hour round-the-island trip visiting all the island’s top attractions.

Start with a pickup at 9am from your hotel or cruise ship, continuing to the colonial-era Admiral’s Inn and surrounding area. Then explore the picturesque Copper and Lumber Store, Sailmaker’s Loft and Mystery Pillars and marvel at the collection of elegant yachts visible just offshore in the harbor.

From there, continue with your guide to the Blockhouse Ruins, straddling an incredible overlook of the Atlantic Ocean, and, on clear days, the island of Monserrat. Finish your excursion with a short stop at Shirley Heights for a panoramic view of Nelson’s Dockyard and Galleon Beach. Then end your tour with a drop-off back at your hotel or cruise ship.

Blondel, our guide, was amazing. She showed us the flora and explained some of the herbal uses of various plants. She was very thorough and took her time explaining the buildings and attractions of the island.

Great way to see the island

Benjamin, our guide, picked us up promptly from our hotel. It was just the two of us so we had his full attention, and a car to ourselves. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We went to Devil’s Bridge, Nelson’s Dockyard (which included a short tour), English Harbour and Shirley Heights. The views from the hill overlooking the harbour were fantastic. On the way back we drove through the rainforest and along the coast where Benjamin pointed out other places of interest as we went. He was happy to take photos of us, and had many funny stories to tell along the way. We would highly recommend this half day tour.

A great value half day tour which enables you to see some of Antigua’s highlights. Our tour guide Benjamin was very informative, polite & friendly & I’d recommend this tour especially if you are pushed for time .

A great experience

The tour guide was knowledgeable and gave historical context. He was interactive and allowed one to share their side of the story. Visiting the Sir Viv Richards stadium was a monumental experience; however, Devil's Bridge left a lasting impression. Standing there one witnessed the fury of the Atlantic Ocean and the calm of the Caribbean Sea. The scenic beaches from any view were a sight to behold. Driving through the rainforest was both relaxing and refreshing. The tour guide was patient and receptive allowing for the opportunity for photos. Good value for money.

New tour guides need training

I had a solo tour with two guides. One said it was his first tour and the other seemed to be new as well. He wasn't certain of how to navigate payment for the sites.Neither seemed to be accustomed to their role as a guide. I expect to get a bit of history and background on the historical sites. But several questions such as what's the population and when was slavery abolished needed to be Googled. I asked about the aftermath of slavery and was told he didn't know. The education system doesn't teach about that. When we reached Nelson's dockyard I was supposed to have a separate tour but because I was solo they put me with a Polish group which abbreviated the tour as translations had to be made. Antigua is beautiful. I enjoyed the sites but got little information about the island. I would not recommend this tour with new guides. I could have hired a driver and probably gotten more information for cheaper. Viator usually does a great job as I have had tours for years all over the world. This was a failure!

Great Way to See Antigua

Gregory (the owner) shared his love of his home with us. It was a great way to see the highlights of Antigua and learn about the history of the island from someone who knows it inside and out. Vernon gave us a personal tour of the island which was informative and structured around our desires. He even stopped to let us smell the turpentine tree. We were the only ones in the van.

The 2nd worst excursion experience

Although it should have been known that we needed a vehicle suitable for a battery-operated scooter and 4 people, we waited over an hour for a vehicle that turned out to be sub-marginal for the purpose. The trip was through what we called 'The Appalachia of Antigua' - the ugliest slums on the island and bumpiest roads. We want our money back! No one should consider Viator or Trip Advisor for arranging cruise excursions

Nothing. The tour was scheduled for 9:00 am but the company didn’t show up. We called them and they said they showed 11:00 am as the tour time. We arrived on a ship and were not able to do the 11:00 am time.

MY GUIDE SYRIL WAS FANTASTIC!!! Great conversation, great laughs and overall pleasant person!! That aside, scheduled for a Saturday, but reservation didn't get through in time so rescheduled for Sunday. Didn't get to see Devil's Bridge or go into Betty's Hope (closed). If I had known these sites that were a part of the guide was going to be closed on Sundays, I would have rebooked for a Monday instead! Let the company know, but just got a "glad to hear" instead. Also, only lasted

Fun and Informative

Cyril was great! He threw in a lot of fun facts and was a great driver. He also offered to take photos of me, which was very helpful since I was taking the tour solo. Each stop we went to was a breathtaking view. When I come back back to Antigua I will take this tour again. 10/10!

Vernon picked us up on time right outside our airb&b. He had no other tourists just the 2 of us which we loved and appricated since everything else we have done has been in groups. He was very knowledgeable, he was very polite and friendly, he explained where we would be going for the duration of the tour. Vernon thank you for making sure I get pepper pot!
