Sea scooter snorkeling tours are popular shore excursion for visitors docked to Antigua and Barbuda. After your guide provides a sea scooter tutorial, dive in and propel through the water, taking in diverse ocean life around you along the way. Please provide a contact number we can reach you when you are in Antigua to be able to update you with pick up information. please note, we only provide pick up at the listed location. If you select "I will select my pick up later" you are responsible for contacting us with your location from the provided list of pick up points listed. Our Pick up time is earlier than our start time, Pick up time will be communicated to you a day prior to your activity date. Pick up time is an average of 45 minutes to 1 hour before your activity. If you are in the English Harbour Area, pick up time is 15 - 30 minutes before your activity date. Pick up is only available for a minimum of two participants or more. We do not offer pickup for a single participant.
What To Expect
After pickup from one of the listed hotels and pickup points, generally around 45–60 minutes before the start time you’ve selected, join your group of maximum 10 travelers on the shore of Freeman’s Bay.
Your guide provides your kit and gives you a tutorial on how to use your sea scooter—it’s expected you already know how to swim and snorkel. Then, start exploring among colorful coral and aquarium fish. Turtle sightings are most likely in the afternoon, but your shipwreck viewing is guaranteed.
Next, just push a button and whoosh through the ocean and around the headland to the Pillars of Hercules, natural rock formations shaped by wind and ocean.
Your tour lasts about two hours and you receive photos once the driver has dropped you back.

- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Guides were kind and helpful to get us prepared for this sea tour. They also took great care of our 11 years old son to make sure everything was safe for him. We saw 4 sea turtles during this trip that was at least a 90 mins in the sea. The water scooters were in good condition and it was fun to swim in the sea with them and not far from the turtles we saw also ! The sea was a bitter rougher than we would have preferred but hey it's nature ! A wonderful experience nonetheless ! The driver we had to get to and from the site was a nice guy that helped to get the experience even better !

Pick up at our hotel was seemless driver was on time. Our tour guides made it super easy for us amateurs to use our gear. We got lucky enough to see turtles lovely fish and a stingray. After our adventure they provided us with pop and water as it was so hot then it was back to our hotel. So glad we chose this adventure to do we have memories that will last a lifetime.

As soon as we got to the site, I knew this was going to be an adventure of a lifetime. It exceeded my expectations. The instructors were so helpful and made sure that the group stayed together. They took tons of pictures. I can’t wait to see them.

DO NOT trust the weather in Antigua! The afternoon of our excursion it was raining and my Fiance and I were determined to go despite that! When Imran (our amazing guide) arrived to pick us up at our hotel, he told us we'd be alone for the day because everyone else cancelled because of the rain. He also told us that even if there is rain, they will not cancel an excursion because the rain never lasts. When we arrived to Galleon beach, the rain was nowhere to be found. It was sunny skies with a lovely breeze. After getting all set up with gear and a tutorial on how to use the scooter, we were off to snorkel. Imran guided us to a shipwreck where we spotted a lion fish and tons of other amazing sea life. After exploring that area for some time, he guided us to The Pillars of Hercules. On our way there we spotted a big beautiful sea turtle (highlight of my life!!). Once we got to the reef we saw moon jelly fish and again, tons of sea life! The reef was so healthy and vibrant. Imran was snapping photos the entire time and even got some shots of us by the Pillars of Hercules. I could've spent the entire day snorkeling that reef. There was so much to see. When we got back Imran let us know that he'd send us the photos (for free!!!)--which we got the following day :) On our way to and from the excursion, Imran shared tidbits about Antigua and we honestly had such a lovely conversation with him. He even stopped at a little stand so we can try some fresh made Tamarind juice. He was amazing and the scooters were such a fun twist to snorkeling.

It was a great experience. We saw several turtles and fish. The owners of this tour are great as well and easy to work with. They communicate often the day before and day of the trip.

Our guide was absolutely amazing. Not only did he put us on almost a dozen sea turtles, he also put us on stingrays. The most exciting part was getting to swim with an eagle ray. I would do this trip over and over.

I was staying the week on Antigua with my adult daughter. We booked this snorkling trip and it ended up being just the two of us. It was a great experience, very professional and we felt safe and well cared for. The guide worked hard to ensure we saw a lot of different sea life and even found a large turtle for my daughter. He also took lots of really good pictures! Highly recommend this tour.

Great fun morning. My husband and I were picked up where the cruise ship docks as requested, picked up 3 others, great site seeing, then taken to a beautiful beach. As a group we were shown how to use the ‘scooter’ and how to fit our masks. We had a good 10 mins practicing in shallow water and to make sure the masks fitted ok/didn’t leak. When everyone was comfortable with their equipment off we went, it was great fun. The water is very clear and sandy underfoot. We saw turtle and plenty of fish. Pictures were taken all the time by one of the guides above and below water and an email link was provided for you to download the pictures within 24 hours. We were in the water for a long time, an hour at least, had a blast and would thoroughly recommend.
