What To Expect

Make your own way to the boat and enjoy a leisurely lunchtime cruise along Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg’s beautiful inland waters.

The StarLite Sapphire is a modern, 113-foot dining yacht with an inner seating area and outdoor observation decks. The inner dining area offers plenty of comfortable seating with large picture windows to see the sites, while the outer deck provides fresh air and an open view of the landscape. The Sapphire can accommodate up to 150 passengers.

Grab a drink at the onboard bar and listen as the captain provides a detailed history of the area.

For the optional lunch, there are six entrees to choose from: seafood (chef’s selection), vegetarian harvest, chicken cordon bleu, beef burgundy, shrimp creole or a chicken Caesar salad. All lunches are served with salad and bread. Beverages are not included.

Enjoyable and reasonably priced activity. Great service / Surprisingly good food / Relaxing day on the water. ONLY NEGATIVE - horrible sound system. Mumbled sound of narrator and “elevator” music. Try something more upbeat!! :-)

This wasn't the most exciting cruise ever but it was very pleasant, the people were really nice, the food was decent. It was a good value...and it was really interesting to see the area from a boat. Ask to sit upstairs.

No narration

I was extremely disappointed. The cruise was peaceful but we were promised a narrative which never happened. Instead we listened to piped in songs about the Florida Keys. Our main purpose in taking this cruise was to learn about the sights we would see. Only after we docked I asked and learned that the system was down and thus there was no narration. We should have been told before boarding and offered a refund or alternative date. This was a costly waste of our time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food was fabulous, the staff friendly and accommodating, the presentation phenomenal, the music pleasant. The only disappointment we had was we read there was to be live narrative during the tour and there was none. We always like to hear facts, history, and information about the areas we are viewing. However, with that being said, we would recommend this tour!

Party of 10. A gift to my Mom and Sisters. The boat ride it's was nice. My issue is with the food. Worst $220 I've EVER spent. It starts with a spring mix salad, which I normally like but it has some type of vinaigrette on it, and not enough of it, it had a very irony taste and no one eats it. 5 of us ordered the Shrimp creole. It was just gross. So it starts with boil in the bag rice, topped with what tasted like straight tomato sauce out of the can, not even heated up. Then there were a few pieces of shrimp, which is all we ate out of the dish, and some huge raw carrots. Bland as bland can be. I had to ask for salt and pepper. 1 ordered the beef Wellington. She said it tasted like they poured warm before Lington over cold, boil in the bag rice. One ordered the Cesar salad, which she said was good. One ordered the salmon, which she said the salmon was good but it had code yellow rice and cold, halfway raw green beans on the plate. And the other three ordered chicken cordon bleu, which they said was also good. One of our orders somehow it did not make it to the kitchen and she sat there waiting while the rest ate, and by the time her food came she ate alone. IF you dine on this boat, I recommend either the Caesar salad or the chicken cordon bleu.
