Directions: Jetty #8, King Street Wharf Darling Harbour is where you meet the vessel. Located on 'The Promenade' directly in front of 'Cargo Bar' & 'Wild Life World' at Darling Harbour. Your vessel is the 40-foot white sailing yacht, 'Emma Mei'.

What To Expect

In the morning, make your own way to Darling Harbour to meet your 40-foot (12-meter) luxury cruising yacht. Your captain welcomes you aboard and provides a safety briefing before you set off under the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Keep your camera handy for great photo ops of the iconic Sydney Opera House and the Rocks, where the British colonists first established the colony. Then sail past Farm Cove, Mrs. Macquaries Chair, and Fort Denison, where convict prisoners were kept in rough conditions during colonial times.

Glide through Rushcutters Bay, passing a marina where majestic yachts are moored—many of them compete in the renowned Sydney-to-Hobart sailing race. Turn towards Sydney's exclusive eastern suburbs and view sprawling waterside mansions, then sail into Watsons Bay where your captain points out legendary restaurant Doyle's on the Beach, and the harbor’s official clothing-optional beach at Lady Bay.

Cross the entrance to the harbor to view Sydney Heads and gaze at the Pacific Ocean, then head into a protected bay in Sydney Harbour National Park. Drop anchor at gorgeous Store Beach and enjoy more than an hour there to relax and have lunch. You might take a swim, go snorkeling, or stroll along the beach before lunch is served onboard the boat. Lunch includes dishes with seafood, chicken, salads, fruit, and dessert, accompanied by Australian beer or wine and soft drinks.

Throughout the cruise, your captain provides informative commentary on Sydney's history and sights. Your boat comes fully equipped with a spacious dining and lounge area, comfortable interior cabin and exterior decks, shower and toilet facilities, and safety equipment.

In the early afternoon head back to Darling Harbour, soaking up the sun and fresh air before returning to your starting point to end your sailing cruise.

the view from the water is magical

It was magical to see the city from the water and to sail along the city, beaches and park, we loved every minute. Our captain told a lot of the history of Sydney and the architecture. We loved sailing and had a try our self, it was a beautiful experience had a lovely lunch, a day to remember always, thank you again for this sailing cruise

The cruise was amazing from start to finish. Beautiful boat, wonderful information and conversation, fantastic lunch--can't think of one thing I didn't like about it other than when it ended. We were in Australia for 2 weeks and did lots of things, but this is one of the highlights I tell my friends and family about when they want to know about our trip.

Great Boat Experience in Sydney

David was an excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide. Not only was he able to tell us the historical side of Sydney, but he was able to tell us fun pop culture facts. We were even able to steer the boat for a bit and it was marvelous fun! We stopped at a lovely cove for lunch and a swim and when we returned to the boat David had prepared a wonderful lunch spread consisting of fresh sushi, fish, and avocado. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sydney!

David was such a great host in so many ways aboard the Emma Mei. He was very communicative and flexible with possible weather issues. He was an excellent guide sharing historic/real estate/architecture knowledge of the entire Sydney Harbour/area. Opportunity to swim if desired. Nice lunch included that should fill up any adult. Many beverages available on board. Spectacular views. Boat appears to host 4 guests.

Highlight of Our Trip

We had a great time in Sydney with everything but this Harbor Sailing Trip was the highlight of our stay. Great, highly knowledgeable captain. Very comfortable boat even in choppy conditions. It truly was a luxury trip - just 6 people and an excellent lunch. It was well worth the price and the only real way to see and experience the harbor.

If I could give David 100 stars I would. From the time we got on his beautiful sailboat till we sadly had to exit it he took great care of us. He is so knowledgeable about Sydney history and told great stories. The food was not only excellent but presented well and my wine glass was always full. Thank you David for our best day in Sydney. Book this tour for the best sea views of Sydney! If you only do one tour make it this one. You get you moneys worth with him. Thanks again David if I’m ever back I’m coming on your beautiful boat again

David was a wonderful host and guide of Sydney Harbour. We managed to get the sails up and enjoy a good time at the helm. We had the opportunity to have a swim in a quiet bay and walk on the small beach. When we got back on board, a delicious lunch was ready for us with beverages. We enjoyed lunch with views across the harbour from the small bay and then raised anchor and launched the sails once again. Just spectacular. The pick up location is ideal. We celebrated with family from overseas but even as locals to Sydney, we saw some areas new to us of Sydney Harbour and we could get in close. A score of five is not enough. Thoroughly enjoyed the five hours.

What a great way to spend the day. We opted to do this rather than the bridge climb - so happy we made that decision. David was a great captain and host. He had considerable knowledge of the harbor and its history. We were able to stop in a cove to have lunch and jump into the clear water. Lunch was more than delightful - food was fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend this experience.l
