Go white water rafting on the Kaituna River for a thrilling outing from Rotorua. Your guide leads you on an action-packed 1-hour ride down 14 rapids at Tutea Falls, the world’s highest commercially rafted waterfall at 23 feet (7 meters). This warm water rafting trip takes place in a gorgeous jungle canyon and is suitable for active people, no prior rafting experience required.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Our guides were great and emphasized safety but also found ways to make it fun. The scenery along the river is beautiful. It is worth it to buy the photo package because you can't really take photos yourself. If you have a go pro with chest mount, bring it. It was a little scary, maybe even terrifying, but we lived to tell about it and have great stories and pictures to share. I had a sore knee so it made it hard to quickly get into waterfall position. If you have knee issues or trouble moving around, this tour is probably not for you. But it's still great fun to watch others go down the 21 foot waterfall !!!

This day was one of my favorites in our trip to New Zealand. Our guide was amazing and we had so much fun! The scenery around the river and cascades and rapids was beautiful! I'd for sure do this again if I ever had the chance.

The excursion was phenomenal. Beautiful setting in the sub terrain rain forest. The guides were awesome, aligning to the skills of the seasoned rafter as well as the novice. Would highly recommend doing this if near Okere Falls in New Zealand.

Thrilling whitewater rafting experience

This was one of the most memorable excursions that I have ever experienced. Our guide Mel tried very hard to make sure we had an exceptional rafting trip. Even though the rapids were extreme, we never felt unsafe. I highly recommend this excursion and would do it again without question. If you enjoy whitewater rafting do not miss this trip.

The whole trip was amazing! Although I was a little scared, the guides went through all the instructions to keep us safe and prepare us for any scenario. We were treated to the waterfalls and some extra fun. The scenery is fabulous!

This experience was amazing, my wife was scared to go on the class 5 rapids but they made her feel safe. The water temperature was amazing the guides were very helpful and good at communicating the instructions as we paddled or got down for the big rapids. Highly recommended.

It was fun and exhilarating. It was scary rafting down the last waterfall, Hayley was our guide and she was super clear and precise with her instructions. Our raft overturned, I was under the raft but held on till we got signal from Hayley to let go. You'll have a great time but it's for the Dare Devil. I definitely recommend doing this with water confidence.

Great adrenaline rush. As it had been raining a few days the river was much higher and fast flowing, this made it even more exciting. The 7 metre waterfall was just exhilarating! The additional swim through another waterfall was a fun bonus. The staff were the best, safety was always at the heart and they were thorough. They made the event so much fun. I would definitely recommend it. Can’t wait to do it again.

The day was exciting from the moment we arrived to the moment we were shown fantastic pictures from the days activity. The highlight of the day was definitely our rafting guide, Joel. He made learning the different techniques with the boat crew fun and kept spirits high throughout the entire experience. This activity is definitely a must

Sam was the BEST!!! We were 6 adults with one being slightly handicapped and he watched out for her and gave us the time of our lives. White water rafting was definitely the highlight of our trip!!!

This was a great trip and one of the highlights of our stay in New Zealand - a great event for me and my teen kids. Pete, our guide, was the best. We also liked the photo package offered by the vendor. almost a 100 pictures taken at key spots on the river for a reasonable price.

Greatly enjoyed the trip up until the boat tipped over on the largest waterfall. That was very frightening to my wife, but we made it through. Just be prepared that it could occur. The before and after was great.
