Overview
This day experience takes visitors to the famous geothermal sites of New Zealand, departing from Mount Maunganui and travelling to Rotorua, before returning to the former when the tour is over. Pass by Tauranga and the Harbour Bridge before stopping at the Pohutu Geyser and Okere Falls in Rotorua.

Nicolena was great tour guide and very accommodating to someone with a mobility issue.
Visit to Māori village for the ceremony was very informative as was the tour of the crafts training school. We loved the geyser! (And mud pools). Even the Kiwis came out to see us (yes, the elusive birds) Nicholas even showed us some highlights of Rotorua, the city.

Had an amazing experience with this company. Rotorua Geothermal wonderland tour was great choice. Nicolle was a kind and knowledgeable tour guide driving us safely around so many places, explaining the history with interesting detail. If I'm ever back in this area I would book again. Communication by Wicked Wanders Tours was lacking. The tour van was overcrowded. The actual tour of the Geothermal geysers & mud baths along with the Mauri cultural song, dance & school tour was excellent making the long drive worthwhile. I would go again but with a different tour operator.

Thank you for your review. I will say though that I completely disagree with everything that you have said regarding my business. You were sent a detailed prearrival message about where to meet on the day, which you replied to that you had received and several automated reminder messages prior to your arrival, which you also replied to that you had received. Yet you texted several times requesting about where to meet and that you hadn't been sent anything, which surprised me, but I happily replied to these too. So other than dragging you off the ship myself, I don't know what more we could have done. We regularly get comments about how good our communication is, some of which are in the reviews for this very tour, so I do not accept what you have said at all.
In regards to the van being over crowded it was a comfortable 12 seater Mercedes passenger van so no more than 11 passengers. To say it was overcrowded implies that we had more people than seats which is categorically wrong. The van was full that day but we did not and do not overcrowd our vans. That is completely illegal as well as being very unprofessional. In the 5 years I have owned this business no-one has ever said our vans were overcrowded so I completely reject this as well.
I am however happy that you enjoyed your tour to Te Puia. It is an amazing place with the geothermal areas, carving school, kiwi birds and full of local history.
Believe me when I say we are more than happy that you won't be traveling with us again.

The whole experience was very well put together. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and approachable. The native experience was very well done and the geysers obliged us with a very well timed eruption.

Excellent tour and fabulous tour guide! She was so knowledgeable and friendly. And showed us interesting and beautiful sights along the way. Delicious ice cream stop on the trip back.

Our Guide RUSELL make a very very good job by our tour. He explained us very good, not too much and not too low , he was perfect and showed us what was interesting for us. Nice to see the forest and all about the geothermal wonder wold with the Māori culture places and the ritual. Very interesting was too the manufacture of Māori products.
