Overview

See whales, dolphins, and other marine life from a small boat on this educational, eco-friendly whale-watching tour led by biologists that has a maximum of ten guests. The tours depart three times per day from south Tenerife, where you’ll not only observe whales and dolphins but get to listen to them via hydrophone, too.

Meet our Guides at the blue gated ENTRANCE to Dock/Pantalan/ GATE 3 in the Puerto Colòn Marina 15 minutes before departure time. We do not have an office. In respect to all of our guests the boat leaves on time. Guests that are late do not receive a refund. You DO NOT need to print the ticket.

Confirmation is automatic - if we must reschedule (bad weather, not enough guests) we will call you to arrange an alternative.
Guides speak; English and Spanish
Guest restrictions: infants and children under 3 year of age, pregnancies, back or neck problems, mobility problems, recent surgeries, over 130kg.
Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or refund

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Really nice tour led by an expert on marine biology. If what you want is to experience the wild life in a small group, this is your tour. It lasts 2 hours and my 8 year old son enjoyed it loads too. I strongly recommend it as a nice and respectful option to see the wildlife.

Absolutely amazing tour, guide was so passionate and informative, also very helpful in helping me avoid any sea sickness, both my children and us adults learnt lots, seeing these wonderful creatures swimming free in nature was the ultimate experience, far better than a zoo highly recommed

Could not recommend this enough; both educational and leisurely at the same time. I mean there is not much to complain about wheilst being on a boat in the Atlantic; however; the tour guide was incredible and it felt like such a fun and safe time. It was a determining factor on vacationing to this island and was an amazing way to experiance both the ocean and wildlife in a sustainable way.

Great guide and boat captain, very knowledgeable, friendly and amazing at the whales and dolphins . Saw lots of dolphins and pilot whales , some really close to our boat , also flying fish and a Portuguese man’o war . Just riding the boat was great fun and exhilarating itself ! A brilliant trip , highlight of the holiday .

Absolutely magical trip. We saw so many whales and got so close to them that we could hear their calls and hear them spraying water. One group even swam under the boat. John was fantastic and really knowledgeable. Such an amazing experience on a beautiful day!

Shortly after leaving the marina it became clear, that the weather was changing and the chance of seing wildlife went down. Instead of making the tour and taking our money the communicated clearly and offered a new date or a refund. We do appreciate that honesty a lot and therefore recommend these people. The guy was very kind and entertaining as well.

John, the tour guide and captain is very friendly and knowledgeable, he really wanted to share his passion for marine life on this day and he would not stop looking for some whales and dolphins, we even went a little bit overtime but we finally saw a big group of whales and juvenile dolphins. I greatly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Tenerife.

We found a hundred or so spotted dolphins, they stay by the boat showing off and playing. They raced the boat and surfed in the wake . Great experience

AMAZING. I’ve done tons of whale watching tours, even in nearby areas, but this one was the BEST let me explain. The small boat is so comfortable so don’t worry abt that, the small boat is better because it’s much faster and easy to turn so when we swim with dolphin or whale pods we can travel with them for a bit and the small boat will doesn’t scare them away. We would stop and the animal would come up almost next to the boat! Also you’re close to the water so I stuck my GoPro underwater and got some cool whale videos from underneath. The guide captain John was quick to respond, informative, knowledgeable, great at driving the boat and informing us before he sped up or anything, and was very communicative with the group. Overall incredible experience, I will DEFINITELY be booking this tour again soon

Great experience

Really great trip and experience. Tour leaders were very friendly, knowledgeable and respectful of the animals. Well worth paying for the more intimate experience. As an aside, I was a little worried about getting seasick but everything was perfectly fine and I didn't feel my stomach turning once. Tour leaders also checked on multiple occasions if the group was feeling ok.

Fantastic opportunity to see whales up close

We had a great trip and saw so many pilot whales during our 2 hour trip. Our captain John also provided lots of information and details about the whales. He kept a respectful distance and allowed them to come to us - and they did! Would recommend.
