Ernie was an excellent guide. He was very informative and told us lots of interesting information. I would highly recommend this trip as both Lake Bled and Ljubljana are definitely worth visiting.

Good introduction to Slovenia

Our short trip to Lake Bled and Ljubljana gave us an interesting introduction to Slovenia. Although the weather wasn't particularly kind we had an opportunity to walk round part of the lake, which is lovely, and learn a great deal about Ljubljana. This was in large part due to our excellent guide Dean who provided just the right level of information and was always keen to answer questions. The balance between guided tour and free time was just right.

Lake Bled was fabulous. Weather was perfect. Our tour guide, Ernie, was funny, yet also knowledgeable & professional. Would have preferred more time in Ljubljana, but overall, a great tour!

The scenery was lovely. The guide was pleasant but useless. While in Ljubljana, the other guides were giving information. Our guide told us where the bathrooms were. Thirty minutes in the capital city was not enough time to explore, while three hours in Lake Bled with nothing to do but have lunch was a waste of time. I certainly would not recommend this tour.

The tour guide Ernie was great. The time spent in Luviana was too short. Our experience on the bus was not good. It should only be 18 people not 22. We had to sit on the back of the bus and the seats were very small and no windows. I had to lean over the person in front of me to see out their window. Also these seats had no air conditioning controls. I would say the tour and the guide was great. The seats on the bus were terrible

A great day trip while staying in Trieste! Our tour guide, Dean, was an excellent source of information, very friendly, and gave us an enjoyable experience. My tour group was fairly small, giving us a very personal experience. Lake Bled was beautiful, and we loved trying the cream cake! Ljubljana was beautiful - I just wish we had more time to explore Slovenia’s capital! Overall, I would highly recommend this tour as a quick way to see the main sites in Slovenia

Lake Bled was lovely and a great place for a walk on a misty day. Llubljana was a charming town, with beautiful churches, cobblestones in the central streets, and a castle perched on top. The drive also gave us time to see a little of the countryside, which was nice as first time visitors. A major highlight of our trip was our guide, Dean. He was passionate about his love for Slovenia, and gave us lots of ideas for other places to visit in the country. He told us about the history of the country and balanced guiding us and giving us free time. He was excellent- highly recommend him! We were sorry to have to say nesvidenje at the end of the day!

Lake Bled was beautiful and we had fun during our short time in Lubjana, taking the funicular to the castle and then walking down and enjoying food at one of the local sausage shops. Our guide, Ernie, was fantastic- very informative and interesting stories about Slovenia, lake Bled and Lubjana.

Too expensive and does not deliver

This is the first time I have ever been let down by a trip I have booked on Viator. I booked this all-day tour to Lake Bled and Ljubljana only on the only day I had available and paid approx £200. There was no issue with the pleasant, informed driver/guide. There were 5 of us on the tour in a small bus, but then two passengers were added for a diversion to drop them at the bus station in Ljubljana, which was not expected. We were told we would be given extra time for this. However, we only got a whole hour in Bled; the confirmation said 2 hours, and I would have been happy with that. We had two hours in Ljubljana, which was just enough, but not if you wanted to eat. On the way back, the driver said if we had half an hour to spare and we paid him an extra 10 euros, he could take us to an extra stop to photograph a castle that was unexpected. In reality, we were dumped off back in Trieste, not even where we started at around 3.30 pm. My message to anyone reading this is to be very aware that this tour is expensive and does not deliver. There are better options available, and this is the first time I have been let down by Viator. Even there emailed joining instructions sent to me were for the wrong day and needed correction.

It's important to note that you booked a shared tour, not a private one. Dropping off the two additional members in Ljubljana did not impact the tour in any way, as it was conveniently on our route. Furthermore, we have spoken with our guide, and no one requested any additional payment from you. We must emphasize that this claim is entirely unfounded and not in line with the facts. We are unsure of your intentions with these false statements and accusations, but we believe that communication can be more productive and constructive when based on accuracy and understanding. We value our customers and always strive to provide the best possible experience.

Day trip was awesome. Driver just needed to have a mic on so we could hear in the back and more time in Ljubljana centre as we had to leave early for a couple to get back to their cruise.

Interesting sights, but tour too short

I booked the tour for friends staying with us. They enjoyed lake bled & Ljubljana, however felt that the tour was rushed. They were back by 4:00 pm which surprised me . The tour guide was soft spoken, so they could not hear very well at the back of the van.
