We used the hop on hop off specifically to go to Miramare Castle. The audio explanations along the way were fine. The bus back from the castle was 25 minutes late.

Great value for the money! If you have limited time in Trieste, this is a great way to see the main attractions. The guides on the bus were helpful. You get a map and headset to listen in selected languages.

This tour was not a typical Hop-on-Hop Off. They just gave just one stop for Miramare Palace. I don't recommend it.

booked two tours one to cave and castle and was supposed to be back in time to use the bus. but we did not get back in time to use the bus . and now the company refuses to refund the cost of 2nd tour. after I was told there would not be an issue doing both tours.

A must on day one in Trieste!

The stop at the Miramare Castle and gardens was not expected. I was going to take mass transit to the castle so this was a plus. I jotted down all the sites within the tour and visited the furtherest out and highest points (San Guisto Castle and Cathedral ). I was very pleased with the audio describing our ride through the city.

Very good value for orientating yourself in Trieste and exploring. The pass lasts 24 hours so plan your timing accordingly. I didn’t because I did understand previous comments/info. However you could really see a lot of Trieste with this ticket.

Great way to spend an afternoon in Trieste if you have limited time. Covers all the main attractions and the audio guide is very informative and engaging. Staff are very friendly and happy to assist with queries and to facilitate with the hopping off & on aspect to make it a more enjoyable experience.

This Bus Tour was supposed to be memorable but unfortunately it is one we would want to forget. On waiting for the tour bus at the 2nd stop and hailing the bus it just drove passed us fortunately we were in the central area.. On the 2nd occasion again hailed the bus and did not stop and we were left at bus stop #12 and had to find our own way back. Very unsatisfactory for two of the older generation. Sorry your staff show no compassion

Recording of the tour didn’t seem timed to line up with what we were passing. I had a hard time knowing what I should be looking at. This tour is a good way to kill time (which is what we needed to do before boarding our cruise ship). The tour is short, but you are able to hop off and stay at certain stops, with the ability to catch the next bus. Plan on doing that so you get the most of this tour.

A SCAM. NOT TRUE HOP ON HOP OFF

Bus is not hop on and off. If you got off they would reserve you a seat on next pass....in two hours. One only bus. No marked stops. Bus does not match the well known busses as in other cities. Nobody got off this bus, nobody wanted to be stranded for 2 hours! We all heard about the sights and if you had a window you saw them. Otherwise you just heard. They would pull over and " hostess" would say " this us stop 4, or 5" Bys stops not marked. Nobody got one. Because nobody ever gets off, afraid of being stranded! A scam type of paid ride in city with no opportunity to get down and see anything.

Total bummer no show

The bus did not show up. There was a big event at the site. We wasted an hour getting there and waiting. They said they had changer the meeting place due to the event but no info was in our documents or messages. When we contacted the help line the person knew nothing. Total waste of time and $$. Requested refund and will contact cc company if not given.

A flexible way to see the city of Trieste!

We liked the Trieste hop on hop off bus and exited at Miramare Castle to have a better look inside the castle. The bus is flexible and lets you back on later when you want to explore on your own. The sea coast up by the castle offers sunbathing cots and food in the Osteria s across the street. Heavenly! A nice way ti see the city and surrounding areas! Ciao!

Good, easy tour with history

Audio was great. Guide sat in front seat and pointed out statues and buildings of interest with a rolled up magazine. It served its purpose for me as I just wanted to sit and see some sights and hear about the history. I didn’t get off the bus. Wish it was an open top bus so we could see things better but I got what I wanted out of the tour.

The driver went too fast. Not enough time for pictures or viewing anything. Rush rush rush. The hostess only announced where to get off. Not much else. Maybe add 1/2 an hour to slow down for picture taking and to see where the building or attraction is. Hostess should talk before and after and ask if we have any questions. Not too bad all in all worth taking if you only have an hour or two.

The audio was clear and informative. It was not a hop on hop off as we’ve taken at other locations. We did not like the enclosed bus or the size of it. We could hardly see anything and could not take pictures of the things we did see because it was moving too fast. We like tours with an open top. We did not enjoy the experience and did not get our money’s worth.
