What To Expect

Begin your tour in Verona joining the guide and head toward the city center. Pop in a cafe to start with the Italian essential, an espresso, paired with a mouthwatering pastry. Head to a local and historical shop for a taste of fresh products such as Soppressa, a typical salami, paired with Monte Veronese cheese.

Then travel next to a local workshop for a behind-the-scenes look at how tortellini is made. See how the dough is mixed, rolled, and stuffed, and treat your taste buds afterward to some fresh pasta samples.

Then peruse the shelves at a local wine shop as you learn about the region’s wine production. Swirl and sip one of the local varieties, such as Prosecco, Lugana and Valpolicella.

We have done several of these food tours around Europe and this was the least good - the guide was pleasant but not very knowledgeable about the city and the places chosen for food stops were very variable - the wine shop and the risotto place were excellent but the other stops were uninspired

We had a great few hours with Isabella around Verona learning a lot about the food, wine, culture and language of Italy and Verona. The pace of the tour was suitably relaxed allowing us plenty of time to eat and drink like Italians. I recommend this tour.

Charming and entertaining experience

We absolutely loved our Verona walking tour! Our guide Stefan was amazing, very kind, and genuinely seemed to take an interest in all 6 of us that were on the tour. We went to at least 5 different places to try food and wine, learning about the history of some of the towns attractions while we did. Stefan didn’t move too quickly which allowed us to really enjoy each part of the tour. He told us this wasn’t even the tour he normally did, but he did an amazing job. We booked this last minute the night before as the tour we did have booked canceled with no explanation, but we’re glad they did because this tour was great. I would absolutely recommend doing this tour while you’re in Verona— a highlight of our trip!

Priscilla was wonderful. Spoke well, knew Verona history, knew Verona food, and was just a wonderful person. Out of 20 or so tours around Europe, this might have been our overall best.

This was the highlight of my time in Verona! I would 100% recommend it, I am a solo female traveler and the smaller group helped us all connect and chat. Our tour guide, Benni, was amazing, she was super knowledgeable and friendly. It was a really great value and worth every penny. Highly recommend!

The food tour was wonderful. Our guide was lively, knowledgeable and friendly. Just perfect. We'd already strolled around Verona before our tour, but once we were on the tour, we realised we would have missed all these wonderful local places if they hadn't been pointed out to us. We discovered delicious risini, the local pastry, and had some incredible tortellini. I'd recommend this to anyone visiting Verona.

Federica our tour guide was incredible knowledgeable about absolutely everything. The restaurants we ate at wee local and the food and wine selection were amazing. The wine shop was lovely where we had a great selection of wines. The walk was beautiful. I would highly recommend.

The whole tour was fantastic. Our guide Francesco was very passionate about his city which made him an engaging and knowledgeable host. The tour included lots of tastings (more than I was expecting) and Francesco was very good at giving us just enough history to put everything in context in terms of why and how certain foods came about in the Verona region. The tour group was not too big either (10 of us) which felt very manageable

This is a great tour, notwithstanding that you generally get to sample around 5 different wines! I don’t think this actually clouds the fact though that Isabella is a fantastic guide - friendly, relaxed and very informative. You can tell that the venues chosen for the tour were all carefully considered and offered good quality as well as a level of comfort and cosiness which immediately put our group of strangers at ease. We were fortunate though that our group of 11 people from all over the place (Canada, Norway, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Poland and England) was a really lovely group. Would thoroughly recommend this tour and Isabella as your guide.

Isabella was upbeat and easy to understand. She always had interesting local or historical facts to add along the way. Most places we visited were off the main tourist areas so we wouldn’t have gone there without the tour. All food and beverages were excellent.
