What To Expect

Meet your guide and small group of up to 12 people at Verona Arena, then use your prepaid tickets to skip the line and enjoy priority access. Once inside, follow your guide on the grand amphitheater, admiring its striking marble façade, traditional tiered seating, and vast central stage.

Along the way, hear how the amphitheater was built in the 1st century AD and survived an earthquake in the 12th century; discover more about life in ancient Rome; and learn how the amphitheater is still used today, hosting the annual Verona Opera Festival each summer.

After exploring the Verona Arena, you tour ends back on Piazza Bra outside the amphitheater.

While only a 30 minute tour we were entertained by our guide Frenk (Francesco) who gave an excellent overview of the Arena. He also provided additional information via email after the tour and for this I give Frenk 6 stars.

"Tour" barely lastest half an hour hour, wasn't informative. I'm not sure how much tickets are for regular entry but this attraction is basically skip the line rather than a tour.

Terrible waste of money Viator no support dreadful experience

We have used Viator many times and have been happy. We booked a tour around the Arena for £50.00 for two people. This was meant to be a 30 min tour! Our host was on the phone for 15 mins trying to speak to her office , We then started the tour, we expected to learn about the romans and any knowledge about the buildings and how they lived. Instead we had information on the bands and operas that were performing this year. We didn’t learn anything. We emailed Viator to ask why the host didn’t explain about the Romans ? There response was she was knowledgeable but maybe not why you expected so no refund , we were happy to pay the entry costs. Very disappointed as they said the host wasn’t employed by them ! Shame on VIATOR

Booked the tour in Italian as the English version wasn’t available. Frank was amazing, he translated most of the tour into English as well as Italian which was great. An interesting overview of the main points of the arena and time to wander yourself. Fantastico.
